What A Reunion.... IZW Style!

What A Reunion.... IZW Style!

Posted: Apr 4th 2008 By: mikeiles

Since the inception of IZW, it?s main slogan has been "Make an Impact? Or Go Home!" This past Saturday, two IZW stars made their return and more than lived up to that slogan. Former members of Impact Inc., Gary Tool and Bernie Donderwitz had not been seen at an IZW show in several months, and Bernie Donderwitz had only recently been seen on two occasions after a 4 month hiatus only to be assaulted by Impact Inc. both times. March 22nd a vignette was shown of Bernie stealing $5,000.00 out of the office of John Zorthos in retaliation for the assaults, and in the video he also promised Johnny Z and the fans a surprise at the next IZW show on March 29th.

This past Saturday it was time for the surprise and after receiving a package with a picture not able to be talked about on this site and after not seeing Bernie all night, Johnny Z and Michael Barry decided to come to the ring at the end of the show and call Bernie on his bluff. Upon asking for it, out came Bernie Donderwitz as only he can with gold chains and large sunglasses. Bernie then went on to treat the IZW fans to a couple of surprises, the first being IZW?s newest star Jermaine Johnson, with Johnny Z?s money bag in hand and after a little taunting from Bernie and Jermaine the two of them began throwing Johnny?s money into the crowd, REAL MONEY!

This infuriated Johnny Z and Michael Barry as they both began beating on Bernie and Jermaine from behind and were able to gain the upper hand, but not for long as the real surprise was about to come when former IZW Commissioner Gary Tool hit the ring all fired up and helped Bernie and Jermaine clear the ring of Impact Inc. much to the crowds delight. This was the real surprise Bernie had been talking about, and now Gary and Bernie wanted Impact Inc. in a match, Johnny Z and Michael Barry however wanted no part of it and began to head to the back only to have Gary remind them that Johnny?s money was still in the ring with him and Bernie and if they wanted it, all they had to do was give the two of them what they wanted?.. a match!

So it was on, Impact Inc. vs. Gary Tool and Bernie Donderwitz, from the outset this was a clinic in professional wrestling and one hotly contested match. Johnny Z wanted nothing to do with either Bernie or Gary in the beginning of the match as they showed they hadn?t lost a step by displaying an arsenal of moves on Michael Barry, eventually Johnny Z made his way into the ring to face off against Bernie only to have Bernie take him down with some technical wrestling and almost get the pin with a modified Rings of Saturn roll-up, Johnny quickly scurried over and tagged Barry back in. After a double team move on Barry, he tagged Johnny Z back in, who after receiving a powerslam from Bernie was then whipped into the corner, Barry upon trying to make the save was greeted with a neckbreaker and an irish whip into Johnny Z. After all this Johnny Z was able to take control of the match by hitting Bernie with his patented float over DDT, Barry and Z would set in the pain for several minutes with a figure four leglock and a single leg Boston crab. Bernie tried to make a comeback only to have Johnny Z go for his DDT again which Bernie reversed into his out of this ozone Sky High slam. After this, Bernie and Johnny Z both crawled towards their respective corners to make the tag, one trying to beat the other but they would both tag at the same time, but it wouldn?t matter for Barry and Z as Gary Tool had been waiting growing angrier and angrier watching Bernie get beat on and he quickly laid out Johnny Z and Barry multiple times. Johnny Z would grab the ref and hold him close trying to keep Gary off of him or so it seemed, as Michael Barry slid into the ring behind Gary with a steel chair in hand as he nailed Gary twice with it and then laid it in the ring to hit Gary with his finishing move ?The Saturday Night Special?, but Johnny Z?s plan would not come to fruition as the forgotten Jermaine Johnson pulled out his springboard clothesline on Michael Barry for ?The Coach? Gary Tool to get the rollup and the 1-2-3 before Johnny Z even realized what had happened.

After the match, Gary, Bernie, and Jermaine celebrated with the crowd and handed out some more of Johnny Z?s money while he walked to the back in disbelief. Were not sure exactly where this is headed but if Saturday night was any indication it?s sure to be one hell of a ride.
