Raquel Rodriguez says ditched on-screen pairing with former WWE star ‘would have been fun’
Posted: Nov 3rd 2026 By: Rosanne Raphael
Raquel Rodriguez reflected on Carlito and R-Truth’s time in The Judgment Day and addressed whether her potential on-screen pairing with the former would have materialized.
Rodriguez highlighted on the Insight Podcast that the storyline with Carlito was left to develop organically. While the two occasionally discussed it between themselves, she was hopeful it would take shape.
“Carlito almost got me a couple times too when he was trying to butter me up, whatever it was…. I think we were trying to see where it was going to go. I did wish that we would have had a moment of a final date or something that would have been fun.”
“A little bit. Yeah, just brought up here and there between us. But yeah, I think that would have been kind of fun.”
Rodriguez further talked about R-Truth and Carlito’s attempts at making The Judgment Day break character on-screen.
“No, they’ve gotten a smirk out of me, and that’s about it. I’m pretty good at holding it together, but they’re so funny, like on and off. There’s not a moment that I can think of with either one that I was not smiling or laughing or having a good time. They’re just such great energy, and I just wish they were always around. I wish R-Truth would try to join The Judgment Day again.”
Carlito’s association with The Judgment Day came about after his Backlash 2023 return. Although his involvement with the faction was relatively brief, he has since stated that he holds no resentment over how his second WWE stint played out.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez won the Intercontinental Championship in July, marking her first singles WWE title, and positioning herself as a competitor beyond the tag team division.
