Jeff Jarrett reaches big sobriety milestone
Posted: Oct 27th 2026 By: Joseph Currier
October 25 brought a big personal milestone in the life of Jeff Jarrett.
Jarrett shared that he is now nine years sober after reaching the milestone on Sunday. Along with posting a photo of his sobriety coin, Jarrett and his wife Karen uploaded a video of them sharing a quiet moment together sitting on a bench in celebration of the moment. Jarrett first got sober in 2017 and is set to reach the 10-year mark in 2027.
The 59-year-old Jarrett recently had his life story chronicled on season seven of Vice TV’s Dark Side of the Ring. In a three-part documentary focused on Jarrett and the founding of TNA Wrestling, Jarrett and Karen told the story of him overcoming alcoholism. A complicated relationship with his father Jerry (before reconciling), the death of his tag team partner Owen Hart, and the death of his first wife Jill all contributed to the personal struggles that Jarrett needed to overcome.
After getting sober, Jarrett returned to WWE and was inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame. He is now employed by AEW and has been with the promotion since 2022. His role includes appearing as a host for pay-per-view pre-shows.
Last month saw Jarrett compete at CMLL’s 93rd Aniversario in a loss to Blue Panther.
