Mick Foley compares Tony Khan’s AEW management style to WWE’s

A WWE Hall of Famer and a former part of the promotion, Mick Foley has now compared it to Tony Khan’s AEW management style, which happens to be his current promotion.

A few months ago, Foley parted ways with WWE due to different political opinions and ideologies. Shortly after, Foley shocked the world and joined Khan’s AEW.

Recently, speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Foley opened up about the two promotions’ different management styles. “Tony Khan makes it clear that he really appreciates his talent. I love when he comes out and talks to the crowd in between tapings. He’s fantastic with that. He’s got a great rapport, and it’s just a different management style. And it’s one that I take to better,” Foley shared.

He further added that while WWE has had incredible success doing things their way, there’s no one way to cross the finish line, and he is really happy with where he is right now.

“And more is always better for the fans. If we remember the Monday Night Wars, having more wrestling on TV is always better. And without AEW, WWE wrestlers would not be doing nearly as well. I hear they’re now cutting way back on salaries, and it’s great to know there’s somewhere else to go,” Foley finished.

Since joining the AEW roster, Foley has frequently appeared on screen, and there once even emerged a rumor about the 61-year-old Foley having his retirement match there.
