Killer Kross says WWE never followed through on promised Hollywood introductions

Killer Kross says WWE never followed through on promises they made regarding breaking him into Hollywood.

During a recent discussion with The Wrestling Classic, Kross explained that a couple of years ago, he attended a WWE meeting where talent were told the TKO merger would provide connections to pursue opportunities in other areas of entertainment.

Kross said:

“I followed up afterwards once the meeting was done and I said, ‘Hey, listen. I’m not looking to leave wrestling. I love wrestling. It’s my first passion. I don’t even know what life would be like without wrestling. But I would be interested in attempting to take on some different acting roles and stuff like that.’ I have a background in theater and such, and I went into all that. I just said, ‘What’s the right way to go about doing this? I’m not looking to transition out of wrestling. I think, as a matter of fact, I could actually do some mainstream stuff in acting, and I could maybe create some new fans and bring them back into wrestling.’

“I was told to follow up in October and I’d be flown into Los Angeles and they’d introduced me to all these people and blah blah blah and I followed up and none of that ever happened. And then I waited a couple more months and I followed up and none of that ever happened. And I said, ‘Well, I’m not dependent on this particular lead. I can pursue this on my own. I just wish that I wasn’t led to believe and told to do this. It’s a sh—y feeling, especially in a business that’s completely based on trust.’”

Since leaving WWE last year, Kross has wrestled for promotions such as MLW, House of Glory, and World Series Wrestling in Australia.

He is the current MLW World Heavyweight Champion, having won the title in the 40-man Battle Riot VIII at the January 29, 2026 MLW tapings.

Kross is also the WSW World Champion, having defeated Bishop Dyer, currently known as Baron Corbin, for the vacant title at the start of the promotion’s Rise Against tour, which ran from May 15–18. The promotion is planning another five-night tour beginning at the end of October.
