Thekla reveals what Mick Foley told her during their first meeting

Thekla has revealed that Mick Foley said some really nice things to her during their first meeting.

Recently, speaking to TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Thekla opened up about their conversation with Foley when they met for the first time.

“He must have seen me from afar, and I’m super shortsighted, but I could tell he wanted to say hi. It was my first time seeing him ever, so I stopped what I was doing and came over, and he just said some very, very nice things. Along the lines of, ‘In the 30 years of my career, or more, that I’ve been doing this, it becomes more rare with time passing that you see something that’s new and refreshing.’ And once he stumbled over my stuff, he thought it was very cool,” Thekla shared.

She noted that it was a “very nice” first interaction because Foley was getting emotional. Thekla added that she felt a lot of Foley’s underdog mentality that he had while growing up in the business and trying to do things differently. “I really vibe with that because I think I’m a little bit like that too,” she shared.

Thekla is currently set to face Willow Nightingale at AEW All Out, with the winner earning a shot at the Women’s World Championship.
