Kevin Nash reveals what derailed potential WWE Kliq angle with Shawn Michaels, Triple H

WWE legend Kevin Nash recently revealed that him injuring his leg blew the entire Kliq angle with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Nash recently shared that WWE was set to make a full Kliq angle, and he cost everyone the chance when he blew his leg out. “And that would have been, like, that f***ed me up because we got Shawn [Michaels]. Like, we could have maybe done something and gotten Paul [Levesque] to get involved with us to where that would have been f***ing, like, the Kliq angle, like finally do the Kliq angle. But I fucked that up when I blew my leg out because Shawn was back. You know, Shawn was back in the mix. So, ‘Oh well,'” Nash said on his Kliq this podcast.

The timeline in question was when Michaels had returned to WWE after a few years away, and Triple H was the roster’s top guy. In that period, both Nash and Scott Hall were also a part of the promotion. It was possibly the only time when all four men were active at the same time in WWE. However, Nash’s injury cost them that angle.

Nash suffered a torn quad, and it happened on his first night back after suffering a torn bicep. Nash had returned three weeks ahead of schedule and injured himself again. In a conversation with McMahon, Nash claimed, “This is my first thing I’ve done coming back, and I’m coming back three weeks early. And I remember looking at Vince and stuff and saying, doing this kind of s*** when people aren’t cleared and ain’t been in the ring is exactly how people get hurt.”

Hall, Michaels, Triple H, and Nash never worked in an angle together in WWE. While The Kliq existed as a backstage group, its most famous, or rather infamous, moment includes the Madison Square Garden curtain call in 1996. While Nash and Hall left the promotion after that, Triple H suffered McMahon’s wrath, which was evident in his booked matches.
