WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently opened up and shared an update on wrestling legend Tatanka’s son following his recent WWE tryout.

Tatanka’s son Joseph was recently present at the WWE tryouts earlier this month. During the week of SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, WWE held its tryouts, which were attended by multiple names, including Tatanka’s son, Joseph Chavis.

WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative, Shawn Michaels, recently appeared on Busted Open Radio, where he addressed Chavis’ tryout and claimed that he did a good job there.

“I will say this also, for what it’s worth, Tatanka’s son was at one of our last tryouts. So I’m very excited to see, because he did a really good job. So I’m excited to see the progression of that young man once he comes in the doors,” Michaels shared.

A former football player, Chavis is currently working toward a professional wrestling goal and was recently training at Nattie Neidhart’s Dungeon. WWE Superstar Jacob Fatu has also been training Joseph Chavis and Jeremiah Chavis for the past six months.
