Impact, Inc. loses a member and makes him pay

Posted: Mar 5th 2008 By: mikeiles

Bernie Donderwitz has been a member of Impact, Inc. since the faction's inception. He is a 4 time IZW Tag Team Champion (w/ John Zorthos). You can now add former Impact, Inc. member to his resume.

Bernie Donderwitz has been out of action for quite some time. His last match in IZW was on December 8, 2007 when he and John Zorthos successfully defended the IZW Tag Team Titles against Michael Barry and Tommy Revell. In fact Donderwitz has not even been returning phone calls from Zorthos or Brad Michaels. Zorthos was forced to defend the titles with Tommy Revell substituting for Donderwitz on January 5th. Zorthos also used Revell as his partner in Handicap Matches against Angel Williams and John O'Malley. Zorthos also strengthened Impact, Inc. by adding Michael Barry and Tommy Revell. But Donderwitz remained missing in action.

On March 1st right after Michael Barry had defeated James Crowe, a video began playing on the ZorthoTron 420. John Zorthos and Brad Michaels were in the Impact, Inc. locker room complaining about IZW Commissioner Mike Iles. Bernie Donderwitz showed up unannounced saying he wanted 2 minutes on the mic in the ring then left without getting an answer from Zorthos. Both Zorthos and Michaels were interested parties in what their faction partner had to say.

Donderwitz addressed the crowd and said that he had been injured and was there to return his IZW Tag Team Title he had in his possession since Zorthos had lost the titles a few weeks back. He said that he didn't know when or if he would be back. At that point the Impact, Inc music began playing and out came Zorthos, Michaels, and Michael Barry. Zorthos got up in the face of his long time tag team partner and said it wasn't over until he says it is over. Then all 3 of them began attacking Donderwitz. Ring Announcer Jesse Storm left the ringside area to get help. Michael Barry left the ring and the pulled Johnny Z's truck to the side exit of the arena. As Zorthos & Michaels began dragging Donderwitz out the door, Commissioner Iles came out and said it was the way to do things. Michael Barry held Iles back and Zorthos then punched Iles in the face sending the commissioner sprawling to the floor. Impact, Inc. left the arena and Iles told Jesse Storm to go to intermission.

So the Impact, Inc. membership continues to change almost weekly. In his heartfelt speech to the fans, Bernie Donderwitz mentioned his "best friend" Gary Tool, who apparently left Impact, Inc. and IZW months ago. When the attack on Donderwitz began, the fans began chanting for Coach Tool.

So now the membership of Impact, Inc. consists of 5 members: John Zorthos, Brad Michaels, Michael Barry, IZW Champion Tommy Revell, and Revell's valet Marianne Albright. Will the membership continue to grow, continue to shrink, or stay status quo?

Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
The show began with John O'Malley in the ring, dog collar and chain in hand, calling out his long time rival Brad Michaels. Bad Brad refused to enter the ring with O'Malley swinging the chain wildly. IZW Commissioner Mike Iles came out and persuaded John to give him the dog collar and chain. O'Malley challenged Michaels to a Loser-Must-Retire/Dog Collar Match for "March Mayhem" on March 15th. Michaels said he would accept on one condition, the ban on the piledriver would be lifted. Iles said for one night only he would lift the ban. So this week IZW will present the official contract signing between O'Malley and Michaels.

After O'Malley left the ring, the music Angel Williams began playing which seem to frighten both Michaels and Iles. Williams began talking about how two weeks earlier he knocked out IZW Champion Tommy Revell using a pair of brass knuckles. Due to that action, IZW owner John Zorthos suspended Angel Williams for one week and because Commissioner Iles was not at the show due to family business, he was unable to overturn the suspension. Williams said he would take care over Revell later but he wanted a piece of one of the members of Impact, Inc. Iles apologized to Williams for his absence and said that at "March Mayhem" IZW Champion Tommy Revell would defend the title against Angel Williams. Iles continued saying that he did owe Williams since he was not present the previous week to overturn the suspension so in the main event, Angel Williams would be facing Brad Michaels. Williams did defeat Michaels in the main event.

After defeating Tyson Jaymes by holding onto the ropes, John Zorthos began celebrating until Commissioner Iles came out again. He said that he saw Zorthos pick up the win by cheating but would not overturn the victory. He reminded Zorthos that he was supposed to wrestle Mitch Carter on February 23rd but instead changed the match to be Mitch Carter vs. Michael Barry with Zorthos as special referee. Iles told Zorthos that at "March Mayhem" Mitch Carter was going to get one more chance to defeat Zorthos and if he did he would be a permanent member of IZW.

After the Donderwitz attack and intermission, the IZW Tag Team Title was still in the ring. The current champs, The New Age Syndicate strolled to the ring to claim what was rightfully theirs. They said they felt generous and offered a title shot to the "chumps" they defeated for the titles, Nathan Sensation & Striker. After The New Age Syndicate got themselves DQ'ed for using a chair on Sensation, Commissioner Iles came out one more time and said that the IZW Tag Team Titles would be on the line at "March Mayhem" and if "The Wonder Twins" (NAS) got DQ'ed, the titles would change hands.

This Saturday night is the last show before "March Mayhem". You can purchase tickets to "March Mayhem" this week at the IZW show. Tickets for all IZW shows including "March Mayhem" is only $5, still the best value for your wrestling dollar. At this week's show you will witness the official contract signing of the "Loser-Must-Retire/Dog Collar Match" pitting John O'Malley vs. Brad Michaels. Plus much more. Bell time is 7pm at The Impact Arena. You DO NOT want to miss it. Get the early for the best seats. And as always dress in gimmick, with or without your kick pads, it's all good.
