Old School comes back to Oklahoma

The main event for the TPW show last Friday had been advertised as a Bullrope Match, but TPW commissioner Kitty quickly put a new spark into it as TPW instituted a new title: the Oklahoma Old School Title.
When Rocco Valentino asked for a Bullrope match against Bernard Funk, he was hoping to settle 8 years of frustration that had brewed between the 2 since Rocco had lost the OPW Oklahoma Title to Bernard. Ever since Bernard?s return to TPW, Rocco had been the focus of his attacks, which reached their peak when Bernard and his nephew Timmy J gave Rocco 2 spike piledrivers and put him out of action for about 2 months.
Since Rocco?s return, he has been dominating Bernard in matches, but Bernard has been equalising the playing field by using his Bull Rope. Kitty took Rocco?s suggestion for a Bull Rope Match, but Saturday, Kitty upped the stakes by announcing that the match would be to determine the very first Oklahoma Old School Champion. This title (represented by the original OPW Oklahoma Championship Belt) will only be defended against competitors who have been wrestling a minimum of 5 years. And the match between Rocco & Bernard was bloody and brutal as both men fought not only for this championship, but for their personal honour. Ultimately, Rocco was victorious and is now the Old School Champion.
Rocco sent word that he has already received word of challengers for other federations across Oklahoma, although he would not give specifics. He also hinted that he may be doing some travelling to these other federations defending this title. His intention is to make the Old School Title one of the top 2 most prestigious titles in Oklahoma and figures the best way to do that is to meet and defeat the best competition out there.
