Chelsea Green says Michael Hayes’ comment on WWE Unreal was a career-low moment

Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green has opened up and revealed one of her career’s lowest moments.

Following her championship win, Green appeared on Complex Graps, where she addressed dedicating her title win to Michael Hayes on the WWE SummerSlam post-show. She further opened up and called Hayes’ comments on WWE Unreal on Netflix a career-low moment.

“Where should we start? How many times have I been like, ‘Oh, we’re going. We’re going. Never mind.’ I had my NXT debut, and I broke my arm on live television. Thank gosh it was a live dark match, I think. Then I broke my arm live on SmackDown, and I was supposed to go to Survivor Series. That felt pretty low. Then I got fired. That felt low.

“I guess a low moment was watching Unreal and seeing what Michael Hayes said and having it confirm what I thought, which is that I am here to elevate the other girls. I am here to get them from the midcard to the top-girl spot, and that may be the place I stay forever,” Green said.

Despite the initial comments on Green, Hayes later apologized to her.

Chelsea Green addresses feeling loved by the WWE locker room

Following the championship win at SummerSlam 2026, Green, in her interview with Complex Graps, opened up about feeling loved by the WWE locker room.

“Tiffany [Stratton] standing there saluting me is a moment that I’m just so glad someone caught. I’m so glad that there was a camera that caught that. It was so sweet. When I went into the back, and everyone was hugging me, I just felt so loved. I felt so incredibly loved. The best thing in the world is to feel loved and respected by the people that you love and respect in this business,” Green said.
