Glamour Girls to receive Cauliflower Alley Tag Team Award
Posted: Jun 9th 2026 By: Vincent Verhei
Fifty years after breaking into the wrestling business, the Glamour Girls—Leilani Kai and Judy Martin—will be celebrated by the Cauliflower Alley Club at their 60th Annual Reunion.
“The Cauliflower Alley Club is proud to announce that The Glamour Girls, Leilani Kai and Judy Martin, will make history as the first women’s tag team to receive the CAC Tag Team Award at CAC 60,” the CAC announced in a press release.
The CAC Tag Team Award was first given out in 2015, with Demolition winning the first honors. Seven other teams have been honored since, most recently the Bushwackers last year.
Historian Roy Lucier shared some further background on the Glamour Girls and this award.
“This is amazing news,” Lucier wrote. “Leilani was originally supposed to receive the Women’s award, however, she specifically asked for Judy to be honored with her if her health improved (which it eventually did), and the two will be the first ever women to receive the CAC Tag Team award.”
Kai shared on social media a month ago that Martin was in the hospital. No further information was available.
Kai and Martin were both originally trained by the Fabulous Moolah. Each debuted in the mid-1970s. Martin’s last match was in 1999, Kai’s in 2015. They are best known for teaming up as the Glamour Girls in the World Wrestling Federation, managed by Jimmy Hart, where they won two WWF Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Their best-known match was at the original Royal Rumble broadcast on January 24, 1988, where they lost those tag team tiles to the Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno & Itsuki Yamazaki) in a 15-minute, two-out-of-three falls encounter. Dave Meltzer gave that match a *** rating. The Glamour Girls regained the belts in June of that year on an All Japan Women’s show; Meltzer rated that match even higher at ***3/4.
Those belts were retired in February of 1989.
The Cauliflower Alley Club 60th Annual Reunion takes place August 24 to 26 at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are available here
