Former AEW wrestler competes for International title during TNA Genesis pre-show

A former AEW wrestler made a surprise appearance in TNA.
KJ Orso, formerly the masked Fuego del Sol, was the mystery fourth participant in a four-way match for the International title that took place during the Genesis pre-show on Saturday. He was unsuccessful in winning the title, as he took a piledriver from Eric Young and was pinned by champion Stacks after he dumped Young.

During the match, commentary noted that this wasn’t Orso’s first time in TNA, as he had previously wrestled as Fuego del Sol on a Twitch stream back in 2019.
Since leaving AEW in 2023, Orso has continued to work the independent scene including for GCW, which he wrestled for following his TNA appearance on Saturday. Last year, he lost a mask vs. career match against Atticus Cogar at Joey Janela’s Spring Break event during WrestleMania weekend. One month later, he resurfaced without his mask and turned heel, now going under his given name.
The International title match was made one day after TNA Impact premiered on AMC. In a social media post, Santino Marella said that since his daughter implied Stacks would take out anyone TNA puts in front of him, Marella said his future son-in-law would defend the title in a four-way match, keeping the last spot a mystery.
