Rikishi says its ‘very difficult’ for fans to buy WWE tickets due to price increases

Rikishi is pointing out just how expensive WWE tickets can be.
On his podcast, the former Intercontinental Champion lamented how hard it is to get comp tickets to events for friends and family. Although he is no longer a WWE star, he’s under a legends contract, but even with that status he’s unable to get tickets.
“You would think that family members and friends, close friends, you still have those comp tickets, but there is no comp tickets,” he said. “I can probably try to get like a [discount] but what’s a discount nowadays, like, $1,000 a ticket? That’s still, for a family of five and a man working 9 to 5 through the whole week, and the whole family loves wrestling, it’s very difficult to be able to take a family to events.”
Rikishi also pointed out how different ticket prices are these days, noting during his own run, tickets sold for a lot less.
“I know back in the day for us, man, you had tickets like $25, $50. I don’t know, front row seat was 75 or something like that. But now, boy, you really got to hit the lottery to even sit up in the nosebleeds, right?” he said.
Rikishi underwent emergency surgery last fall, though it still isn’t clear what led to the surgery. A month later, he said on his podcast that he felt like “a new person” following the procedure.
