Oklafan extends condolences to Rob Cabella on the passing of his grandfather on November 3rd.
Oklafan extends condolences to Derek Rhodes on the recent passing of his nephew Daniel.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of John Harrison, who competed as John E. Stone and Monty Ozmun and later worked as a broadcaster under the name Harrison Stone. Harrison passed away September 29th, 2025 at the age of 46 and while no specific cause of death is known at this time, he was known to be suffering from liver failure. Harrison began his career in 1999 in Florida and competed in many Southeast US independent companies, amassing an impressive amount of titles. He made his Oklahoma debut in 2007, defeating UWF06 Light Heavyweight Champion Eric Rose in a non-title match. A month later, Stone lost his debut for the company he is most associated with, SWCW, against Matthew Emerald. But Stone would not appear again in an Oklahoma ring until December 18, 2010 when he returned to SWCW and defeated Bobby Star. Stone then became a mainstay of SWCW and also competed for a brief time in MSWA. He feuded with Chris Morrison, 3rd Rail, Outlaw, and perhaps most notably Rudy Edwards. On June 11, 2011, Crisstopher Crow defeated Stone to qualify for the SWCW Title match at “Scars and Stripes” in August. But Crow perished in an automobile accident and SWCW management allowed Stone to take his place in that match. Stone would go on to win the SWCW Title from Kevin James Sanchez in a 4-Corners/6 Sides of Sickness Match that also involved Drake Gallows (Crow's brother) and Rick Russo on October 1, 2011. He would lose the title to Maniac Mike in a 10-Man Ladder Match where all the SWCW Titles were on the line. Stone quickly bounced back and won the SWCW Hardcore Title on November 20, 2011 in a Battle Royal, but lost it on January 21, 2012 to Kareem Sadat. Stone would beat Sadat for the title on March 3, 2012, but immediately lose it to Rick Russo under the 24/7 clause. After that, Stone shifted his attention to the SWCW All-American Title and would win that from Drake Gallows in a Lumberjack Chair Match on March 17, 2012. Stone gained quite a bit of confidence as All-American Champion and one month later, made his in-ring debut in IZW as Monty Ozmun. But a clash of personalities with people backstage led to him not returning to IZW. Now an SWCW exclusive in Oklahoma, Stone and Kevin James Sanchez feuded over the All-American Title, culminating in a Career-vs-Career/Stairway To Hell Match on July 14, 2012 which Sanchez won. While Stone's career in Oklahoma was over, he still would compete in Texas and Arkansas and suffered a serious injury that put his in-ring career on hold. Still wanting to be involved in the wrestling industry, Stone returned to IZW and became Harrison Stone, working as broadcaster for the IZW weekly telecasts. Stone planned to make a return to the ring in 2014 after healing from the previous injury, but in a freak accident, after exiting the ring and jumping from the ring apron to the mat, he shattered his ankle and ruined any hope he had of competing in the ring regularly. Stone continued to broadcast for IZW into 2015 and then attempted to make a transition to managing. On May 2, 2015 he managed Rick Russo at a BCW event where Russo lost to Kareem Sadat to crown Sadat the Independent Hardcore Champion. Two weeks later, he managed former NWA World Champion Kahagas to a victory over Jesse White. That would be Stone's last appearance on a wrestling event. Unfortunately, in part due to the injuries he suffered, Stone drank heavily and also was rumoured to have been addicted to some hard drugs. This led to liver failure which is believed to be the cause of death. Always controversial, Stone fought until he could not fight anymore, always hoping to find a way to return to the ring and reclaim some of the glory of his peak years, which included being ranked in the PWI 500 in 2012 and appearing on “The Jerry Springer Show” that same year. In total, Stone appeared on 49 wrestling cards in his career. His final match as an in-ring competitor was a victory over Shane Sanchez in Oklahoma City in 2013.
