Gail Kim has responded to a recent report that she reached out to AEW following her release from TNA Wrestling.
Following Kim’s online comments about Riho last week, journalist B.J. Bethel posted to X that, “Gail Kim contacted several people about an opportunity at AEW at some point, longer than a couple weeks ago. No one reached out to her.”
Kim responded to Bethel’s post on Sunday, writing, “I don’t know you but this is a perfect example of someone lying and has zero integrity. At least when I say what I say, I’m saying what I feel and am truthful and will defend myself with facts. ZERO INTEGRITY here.”
Kim later posted that following her departure from TNA, she was contacted by AEW’s Sonjay Dutt, who was inquiring about her possibly returning to the ring. Kim says she told Dutt she’s retired.
“The real news about what happened with AEW since people will lie etc. Iwas saving it for interviews but oh well it’s now.I got one text from AEW when I was terminated from TNA. It was from Sonjay and inquiring more about whether I wanted to wrestle. I’m retired. End of story,” Kim wrote.
Kim departed from TNA Wrestling in March after having spent almost a decade and a half with the company. She’s the most-decorated TNA Knockouts Champion of all time, having held the title seven times and a combined 711 days, both of which are records. Kim was inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2016.
