The first match is official for TNA Slammiversary and it will be for the X-Division Championship.
TNA announced during Thursday’s Impact that X-Division Champion Moose will defend his title against Leon Slater on the Sunday, July 20 Slammiversary pay-per-view.
Slater picked up a victory over Jason Hotch on Thursday’s Impact as his title challenge was revealed in a picture-in-picture segment during the contest.
Although not yet official, another title match appears to be set for Slammiversary following Thursday’s Impact.
The returning Killer Kelly won the 8-4-1 match on Thursday’s episode to earn a future Knockouts World title shot against Masha Slamovich, her former MK Ultra tag partner.
A Champions Challenge match set for next week’s Impact could provide further clarity to the Slammiversary lineup, with World Champion Trick Williams, X-Division Champion Moose, Tag Team Champions Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth, and International Champion Steve Maclin facing a team of potential challengers in Joe Hendry, Elijah, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel of The Rascalz, and Mike Santana.
Slammiversary is set for the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York on Sunday, July 20.
