Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page appeared on this week’s SmackDown.
Evans made his main roster debut teaming with Rey Fenix to take on Los Garza on Friday. New NXT North American Champion Ethan Page also appeared on the show, joining the commentary tean, The finish had Evans and Fenix confront Page at ringside. Page used the opportunity to shove Fenix into Evans, who responded by giving Page a superkick. Evans was able to get the upper hand by himself over Angel and Berto, but Page recovered and knocked Evans off the top rope, allowing Los Garza to lay out Evans and pin him for the victory.
Evans, Fenix, and Page, as well as Laredo Kid, are set to meet in a four-way match for the NXT North American title at WWE AAA Worlds Collide next Saturday. After Page won the title from Ricky Saints on NXT, he came to the ring to celebrate when Evans interrupted Page and revealed he would be defending the title against not only him, but Kid and Fenix in a four-way.
Los Garza will also be in action at Worlds Collide as they will team with Santos Escobar to take on AAA’s Psycho Clown, Pangano, and Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.
