In a post on Facebook, the family of former WWE Superstar Kamala announced that his estate signed a WWE Legends deal, five years after his death. “We couldn’t be prouder that James’s legacy is back home where it belongs,” wrote Emmer Jean Harris, wife of James “Kamala” Harris. Jared Ashley, CEO and Founder of 16 Creative, the agency which worked with his estate to negotiate a deal with WWE, said that when they began working with the family, the main goal was to sign Kamala to a Legends deal and hopefully an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. “I’ve always felt that’s where he belongs, and I think many of his fans would agree,” he said. “It has been such an honor to work with this family over the past few years, and now with WWE, to help preserve Kamala’s incredible legacy.” Known as “The Ugandan Giant,” Harris lost his life at the age of 70 due to a cardiac arrest after a bout with COVID-19.

Gail Kim, who was released from her role as producer at TNA Wrestling this week along with three other high-ranking officials, issued a statement on her social media to address the news. Kim thanked fans, friends, and her peers for all the support she received over the last few days which helped her process the change. “More than anything I am grateful for all the years and opportunities I was given to help build something I always dreamed of,” Kim wrote. “The KO division is and will always be my heart and all the women who were a part of it.” Kim also put over the hard-working and passionate TNA talent and crew and noted that this will not end her passion or love for professional wrestling. “This is not the end of Gail Kim in the wrestling world. You don’t put in 17 years in one company and stop when you are this passionate,” she continued. “I look forward to sharing my journey and am taking some time for myself and prepare for what’s ahead. Looking forward to the future.”
TNA has uploaded the full “Unbreakable” event from 2005 featuring A. J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe.

Jim Ross said on his “Grilling JR” podcast that he would fully endorse the idea of AEW hiring Gail Kim, who was fired from her role in TNA Wrestling talent relations earlier this week. He said “No [I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gail Kim end up in AEW at some point]. I would endorse that. If Tony Khan asked me my thoughts on the matter, I would suggest – go for it. She’s very, very valuable and does a great job. I have great respect for Gail Kim, and her reputation speaks for itself. She gets results. She’s very good at working with talent. So – I’m a big Gail Kim fan. And she should not be unemployed for long in my world.”
Jim Ross Says Former WWE Diva Sunny Offered To 'Take Care Of Him In The Bedroom' After His Wife Died. He said “She [Sytch] got break after break after break. She brought a lot of this sh*t on herself. I remember her offering she wanted to move in with me in Oklahoma at one time. ‘Yeah, I’m a good girlfriend. I can cook. I’ll take care of you in the bedroom. Blah, blah, blah, and we can have a great time.’ And I thought about it for like, 10 seconds. No way in hell. I mean, I might be naive and lonely and heartbroken, but God damn it, I already been down that road. I already saw what she was all about, and I wasn’t going to bring myself into the dramatic aspect of my life, and I’m sure as glad I didn’t do it. A piece of A$$ is a piece of A$$. What the hell. Ain’t worth the trouble…I dodged the bullet there. I promise you.”
Abdullah the Butcher has said that he’s turning the corner on his health issues. He said he’s been working with Dallas Page after Chris Jericho put the two in touch and he’s now able to dress himself and lift his arms above his head.
Oklafan congratulates Skylar Slice and Nathan Estrada on the birth of their son Jonah on March 24th. Congratulations is also extended to Killista, the aunt of the baby.
Oklafan extends condolences to Martin Justice on the passing of his mother Darlene on March 24th. Condolences are also extended to Tyler Watts, as she was his grandmother.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Bill Mercer, who passed away March 22, 2025 at the age of 99. No specific cause of death was given, but he was known to be the oldest currently living person involved with professional wrestling. Mercer was born in Muskogee and would serve during World War II in the U. S. Navy as a signalman, participating in 5 significant invasions, including the Marshall Islands, Guam, and Okinawa. After the war, Mercer relocated to Dallas, TX and began a career in sports broadcasting for radio covering football, baseball, and basketball. But his time in radio is perhaps best known for the coverage of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Mercer was the first reporter to inform Lee Harvey Oswald that he would be charged with murder for his actions. Mercer would cover professional sports including the Texas Rangers baseball games and the Dallas Cowboys football games, including the infamous "Ice Bowl" game between Dallas and the Green Bay Packers. But his association with broadcasting pro wrestling goes back to the 1950s in Muskogee when he covered the sport for radio station KMUS. After relocating to Dallas in the late 1950s, Mercer would handle coverage of wrestling from the Dallas Sportatorium and by 1976, he took the position of primary play-by-play announcer for WCCW. Mercer would be the voice of the company during its "Golden Age", centering around the feud between The Fabulous Freebirds and The Von Erichs. But Mercer, who was a minority owner of WCCW at one point, had the opportunity to see a virtual who's who of pro wrestling in his time until 1987, when he left to participate in the competition company, Wild West Wrestling. He would return to WCCW sporadically in the late 1980s and was also involved with the attempt to revive WCCW in 1995. In an interesting side-note, Mercer called football games for the University of North Texas that involved both Kevin Von Erich and Steve Austin. Mercer was inducted into 7 different Hall of Fames, including the Muskogee High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. He also was the namesake of The Bill Mercer Award (Which he received in 2012) and received the Bill Teegins Award from the Oklahoma Sports Museum in Guthrie. Mercer also authored two books: One about his sports broadcasting and one about the coverage of the Kennedy Assassination. From broadcasting, the writing, to his simple longevity, Mercer will be remembered as a fixture of Oklahoma and Texas wrestling. His influence and his legacy will be remembered for a long time.
