NEWS
MVP stole the spotlight during the “AEW Full Gear” media scrum, not for his wrestling acumen, but for his no-nonsense attitude and fiery clapbacks at journalists daring to step up with questions. If there’s one thing MVP made clear, it’s that he’s not here for weak questions or credentials he doesn’t respect. The drama unfolded after Bobby Lashley, representing The Hurt Syndicate, defeated Swerve Strickland in a brutal match, forcing Swerve to pass out in The Hurt Lock. While Lashley’s in-ring dominance was unquestionable, MVP’s backstage mic skills took the cake as he tore into members of the press during the post-show scrum. It all started when a journalist asked Lashley about his motivation. MVP didn’t mince words, cutting off Lashley with “Bobby, that’s a dumbass question, man. Don’t answer that s***.” His sharp tone sent shockwaves through the room as reporters braced themselves for what was coming next. Things escalated when a journalist from The Believe Network attempted to ask a question. MVP immediately took control, grilling the reporter about their credentials. “Do you have a journalism degree? From where?” he demanded. After the reporter meekly revealed they graduated from Full Sail University, MVP allowed them to proceed, but not before making his disdain for pretenders crystal clear. MVP wasn’t done there. When a journalist from The Wrestling Observer tried to pose a question, MVP shut them down with ruthless efficiency, stating, “No, we don’t entertain any questions from that nerd.” This isn’t the first time MVP has shown his disdain for what he sees as subpar journalism, but his unfiltered commentary during the “AEW Full Gear” scrum was next-level. MVP’s unapologetic attitude has made him a cornerstone of The Hurt Syndicate, and his no-nonsense approach to media might just set a new standard for how scrums are handled.

Chris Van Vliet asked Jake “The Snake” Roberts if it bothers him that he never held a championship in WWE. Roberts said “No, not at all. My god, I’m grateful I did not have to carry that too. You know, I carried a 50 or 60 or 75 pound snake around, and we’d be on the road for two and three weeks at a time, all your clothing, everything you gotta carry, the last thing I want is a 10-pound belt to carry around too. Would I have liked to have had a championship? Yeah, of course. You know, that would have been something, but I had had several championships up until then. Maybe not [the] WWF Championship, but I’d had several – Calgary, I had it in Louisiana, and Mid-South. I had it in Texas. I had it in different places around, Mid-Atlantic. So I’d had my time with the belts. I mean, it was all right. I would have liked to have had the money that was associated with that belt. But how can I complain about [the] career that I had?”

Michael Hayes returned from being gone to take care of personal issues on the November 22nd “SmackDown” show in Salt Lake City, UT where they taped two shows. Bruce Prichard is not expected back until early 2025.

During an appearance on “Gutfeld” on Fox News, The Undertaker said he still loves Dave Bautista and Mick Foley despite the political differences he has with them. He said “So that it is perfectly clear, I don’t have any angst toward Dave Bautista. I mean, he’s still – I haven’t seen him, but he’s still a good friend of mine and somebody that, if I saw him, I would give him a big hug. Mick Foley, too. I don’t care what your politics are. You’re wrong, but I still love you. And I’m going to say hello and I’m going to give you a hug whether you want it or not when I see you. I think people – if they would adopt that a little bit more and not get so much vitriol and so much hate over politics. It’s just ridiculous.”

Oklafan congratulates Valhalla and her husband Erik of The War Raiders on the birth of their son Ezekiel on November 28th. Erik posted on Instagram “We have a son. And he’s perfect in every way”.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Darling Dagmar, who passed away either in very late October or very early November 2024 at the age of 81. Her funeral was Friday, November 8th and was a private, family only service. At the time of this writing, no cause of death was available, but reports indicate she had been placed on hospice. Dagmar, whose real name was Kathy Moreland, was trained by The Fabulous Moolah as well as Moolah's husband, Buddy Lee. Her name was an homage to a frequent opponent of Moolah's in the 1950s. Dagmar would become a regular dwarf wrestler, touring as a special attraction across the United States and around the world. She met her husband in 1974 and their wedding was rumoured to have been in part (or possibly in total) paid for by Moolah. Dagmar's career lasted for over 20 years and after the death of her husband, she began to make appearances at reunion events such as the Cauliflower Alley Club or the Texas Shoot-Out. Dagmar appeared on 35 documented Oklahoma wrestling events. The earliest was October 17, 1960 when she defeated Baby Cheryl at a TSW event in Tulsa. The last was June 23, 1975 when she won a Midget Women's Battle Royal in Tulsa.

Greg Oliver of SLAM! Wrestling posted a story entitled “A Big Life in Photos” Darling Dagmar (1942-2024)”, which you can read by clicking here.

John Pollock of PostWrestling.com wrote a story about Darling Dagmnar’s passing, which you can read by clicking here.
