NEWS
Appearing on "SEC Nation", WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg announced that he will be having his retirement match next year. The former WCW and WWE Universal Champion revealed that WWE’s Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque informed him that they will be granting him his retirement match in 2025, but failed short on saying when and against who. Goldberg has been chasing a retirement match for a couple of years now and it was promised to him by Vince McMahon for doing the job to Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia in 2022 at “Elimination Chamber”. The new WWE management is said to be “kinder” to the WWE Legends and righting any wrongs from the past.

WWE Vault has added Mankind & The Rock vs. The Undertaker & The Big Show in a World Tag Team Title Match from a 1999 edition of “SmackDown”. Other recent content from WWE Vault includes Dusty Rhodes’ infamous ‘Hard Times’ promo from 1985.

Mick Foley appeared on CNN on Monday endorsing Kamala Harris for president and responded to Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker recently showing support for Donald Trump. Click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf2pGTn6dBg]here to watch the video.

DOUKI would like to face Sammy Guevara at “Wrestle Dynasty” on January 5th. The event is taking place at the Tokyo Dome the day after “Wrestle Kingdom 19” and will include wrestlers from AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, World Wonder Ring Stardom, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, and Ring of Honor.

This week’s Sammy Guevara vlog is available for viewing by clicking here.

It was a “tough conversation” when Steven Borden told his father Sting that he had aspirations of becoming a professional wrestler. While appearing on The Von Erichs podcast this past week, Borden said he had hardly ever stepped into a wrestling ring before being part of Sting’s retirement tour in AEW. Borden has since trained with Darby Allin, Adam Copeland, and F. T. R. (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) in preparation for an in-ring career. Borden told Marshall & Ross Von Erich that he got a lecture from his legendary father after telling him that he wanted to be a wrestler. “When I told him I wanted to wrestle? Uh, no, that was a tough conversation [laughs],” Borden said. “I was dreading it. You guys probably got a similar lecture [from Kevin Von Erich].” Borden said he trains as often as he can and has been flying back and forth from California for his training with Copeland and F. T. R. in North Carolina. Borden hopes that will be a more long-term thing at some point soon. He also credited Allin and Beth Phoenix for helping him. A former college football player, Borden played tight end for the University of Kentucky and attempted to make it onto an NFL roster post-college. Sting’s sons Steven and Garrett Borden both appeared for AEW during the final stages of their father’s in-ring career, including being involved in his retirement match. Sting retired at AEW’s “Revolution” this past March, teaming with Darby Allin to defeat The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson). Sting has signed a multi-year licensing deal with AEW following his retirement.

Cyndi Lauper performed Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden IN New York, NY and mentioned managing Wendi Richter in the building and talked about Lou Albano, Fred Blassie, Roddy Piper, and Andre the Giant. She also sang a song and they played clips of some of the 80s stars.

Sebastian Kidder, the 24 year old son of Ric Flair’s estranged wife Wendy Barlow, committed suicide on October 24th. Flair posted on Facebook “I Have Spent Hours Wondering What To Say. After Hearing The News Of Sebastian’s Passing, I Can Only Imagine What Wendy & Paul Are Going Through Having Lost A Son Approximately The Same Age In 2013. I Know The Pain Of Your Loss Will Be With You The Rest Of Your Life. I Still Every Day Of My Life Think About Reid As You Will Continue To Think About Sebastian. You Can’t Blame Yourselves As I Blamed Myself For Making Reid My Best Friend Instead Of Being A Good Parent. Sometimes We Get So Close To Our Kids, We Forget That They Need Us In So Many Different Ways. I’m So Thankful For The Time I Had With Sebastian. I Have So Many Great Memories & Bonding Time With Him As He Grew Up! He Stood Tall By His Mother Along With The Whole Family- Sophia, Paris, And Summer, While I Was Dying. He Was So Unselfish Sharing His Mother With Me As I Was Dying. And Also, At The Passing Of My Son Reid. He Was Multi-Talented & In Everybody’s Eyes A Huge Success And Will Always Be Remembered That Way. I’m So Sorry! Wendy, Please Stay Strong & Don’t Let Anything Deter You From All Your Successful Endeavors You Have In Place In The Future. God Bless You Both! Rest In Peace Sebastian!” In a second Facebook post, Flair thanked everyone for the outpouring of sympathy: “Wendy & I Are Overwhelmed By The Messages Of Love & Thoughts And Prayers. We Can’t Respond To Everyone Individually, But Just Know We Love You All And Respect You. Always Remember, Life Is Precious. Live Every Day To The Fullest. Don’t Take Anything For Granted. Love Your Family And Keep Them Close!”
