NEWS
According to Ticketmaster.com on Sunday morning, there are over 1100 tickets still available for the “WWE Friday Night SmackDown” event at the BOK Center in Tulsa on August 9th. That includes over 40 available on the floor and over 850 available in the upper level.

During “ExtravaSlamza III” on July 27th, WFC founder Tim Rockwell announced that “ExtravaSlamza IV” would take place July 26, 2025 in Pryor at the Burdick Center and the first 2 wrestlers signed for the event were WWE Hall of Famers Sgt. Slaughter and Rikishi.

Sammy Guevara returned to AEW at the conclusion of the Ring of Honor tapings last weekend.

On the latest episode of “Grilling JR”, Jim Ross said he believes Shane McMahon would add a lot to the AEW product if he were to come in as an on-screen talent. Ross, who admitted that he's a fan of McMahon, discussed the photo and meeting between Shane and Tony Khan and said that his name identity and ability to do physical things within reason would contribute to AEW television. J. R. said that if Khan, the entrepreneur, thought Shane could help in some way and if Shane wanted a good payday and have some fun, AEW is the place to go. "The wrestling business is in Shane's blood," Ross continued. "Where else does he go if he wants to stay in that vocation? Where else does he go?" Ross added that he has no inside information on Shane's future with AEW and said he has no "outstanding hope" but he's the guy and could be a great new addition at some point. "And if so, between both their creative abilities, it would be entertaining," Ross concluded.

A double header of “Biography: WWE Legends” aired on A&E this past weekend with episodes on “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and Paul Heyman. The Ted DiBiase episode at 8pm did 297,000 viewers, up 89,000 viewers from the prior week. The show did a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 age demographic, up 0.02 from the Mark Henry episode. Immediately following the conclusion of the DiBiase episode, the biography of Paul Heyman drew 262,000 viewers, down 35,000 viewers. It had a 0.05 rating in 18-49, down 0.02 from the DiBiase one.

Brandon Groom recently appeared on the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, where he talked about his time in Florida Championship Wrestling, the trainers, and the then-future WWE Stars. Click here to watch the podcast.

During his appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” last week, C. M. Punk named Harley Race, Terry Funk, Steve Austin, Eddie Guerrero, and Roddy Piper as his five favorite wrestlers. Punk originally included Ricky Steamboat on the list before realizing he forgot about Piper.

Teal Piper remembered her father Roddy on social media on the ninth anniversary of his passing: “9 years ago today we lost you. Feels like another life time ago. Not a day goes by you’re not on my mind. #riproddypiper”

Roddy Piper’s wife Kitty also paid tribute to her late husband on social media: “It does not seem possible that Roddy has been gone for 9 years now. I can still see his smile and hear his laughter. I hope you all enjoy a few pics I will post throughout the day of Roddy and that you can remember his smile and laugh when you think of him too.”

Steve McMichael’s Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony aired on Saturday on ESPN. Because McMichael is suffering from ALS, he was unable to attend but they had their own ceremony at his house. In covering the inductions, “SportsCenter” did a feature on McMichael with Ric Flair and former Chicago Bears teammates Mike Singletary and Richard Dent. McMichael’s wife Misty, daughter Macy, Richard Dent, and former Chicago Bears teammate Jimbo Covert represented him in Canton, OH at the induction ceremony on Saturday.

Oklafan congratulates Red James, who has surpassed 6 months as UWO Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Tino Valentino for the title in a Title vs. Title Match on February 3, 2024 at an event in Oklahoma City. James was the RDW Champion at the time.
