Mick Foley shares positive health update after suffering concussion

Mick Foley is feeling better after battling the symptoms of an apparent concussion.
Last week, the 58-year-old Hardcore Legend revealed that he was calling off plans to return to the ring for one final match. Foley had been dealing with dizziness and lightheadedness. He initially thought it was caused by driving too much and not sleeping enough, but doctors told him that the symptoms pointed to a concussion that he suffered without even knowing it. Foley said he had not done much training in the ring but had done a little bit.
Foley shared a new update on Tuesday informing fans that his condition has improved greatly.
"I am very happy to report that I have improved greatly over the past few days, and symptoms from my recent concussion have subsided," Foley wrote.
He said that, in a weird way, he's happy to have had this wake-up call:
Hello everyone, this is Mick Foley with a concussion update. You might be able to tell by the tone of my voice, it's good news. Yeah, yeah - really good news. Even going into this weekend when I resumed my work schedule, I was a little out of it. But over the next three days, wow, really felt the fog lifting. It's kind of like coming to the surface after you've been swimming under water.
I last had one of these minor concussions six years ago after riding a rollercoaster that shook me from side-to-side. And now following this episode, I've decided that I am no longer going to be taking on the deadly duo of Father Time and Mother Nature, because they commenced to kicking my butt, and it's not a rematch I'm looking to have.
So I'm really happy, in a weird way, that I had this little wake-up call. I really appreciate all the well-wishes people sent me, people concerned about me. I'm doing really good. Always appreciate your support.
Though he hasn't wrestled since 2012, Foley was considering coming out of retirement to have one final death match in celebration of his 60th birthday. Foley said he wanted to lose weight and was using the potential match as motivation. The match would not have taken place in WWE.
Deciding not to go through with the match is a decision that was "strongly" supported by Foley's family
