No more Shenanigans! Campbell makes an IMPACT!

When a established tag team wins a company's set of Tag Team Titles after a long pursuit, a long title reign will most likely ensue. When that established tag team loses the titles and the team essentially breaks up, it normally takes the competitors a while to get back in the swing of things as a singles wrestler. Well, Kenny Campbell will probably never be mistaken for "normal".
Kenny Campbell and his long time Team Shenanigans partner Tyler Bateman began 2007 chasing the Impact Zone Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Re-Gex. They finally captured the titles on April 21, 2007. They immediately began answering challenges from teams, most notably John Zorthos & Bernie Donderwitz of Impact, Inc. While Team Shenanigans successfully defended the titles against Zorthos & Donderwitz on 4 different occasions, Zorthos used mind games and his power as IZW owner to abuse Campbell and Bateman. Campbell was run over by a truck and held captive by Zorthos. Bateman was arrested by a crooked police officer. On October 20th, Zorthos & Donderwitz defeated Team Shenanigans for the titles in a Tables Match. All 4 men were injured in the match. Bateman has not wrestled in Oklahoma since that match and reportedly has relocated to California where he is about to be married.
Kenny Campbell began his quest to transform himself into a singles wrestler yet again. He has had singles success in the past. He was the first ever IZW Impact Division Champion and also held the now defunct IZW Hardcore Title, plus singles titles in Asylum Championship Wrestling, Oklahoma Championship Wrestling, Steel Rage Pro Wrestling, and Tornado Pro Wrestling. He was no stranger to singles wrestling.
When IZW Impact Division Champion John O'Malley announced his retirement from wrestling and IZW Commissioner Mike Iles announced a tournament to fill the vacancy, Campbell was one of the 8 entrants in the tournament along with Striker, Dustin Heritage, Dexter Hardaway, and all 4 members of Impact, Inc., Brad Michaels, Gary Tool, and IZW Tag Team Champions John Zorthos & Bernie Donderwitz. The deck was stacked against anyone not in Impact, Inc.
After Campbell defeated Hardaway in the first round and Zorthos in the semi-finals, he was facing Michaels in the finals. He came up short but he continued to be a thorn in the side of the new Impact Division Champion. He even defeated Michaels for the title on December 1st. That win was overturned due to Campbell using a chain to win the match, although the chain was introduced to the match by Zorthos who threw it to Michaels who in turn dropped it before getting it used on him by Campbell.
Neither Campbell nor Michaels were in attendance at IZW's "Chaotic Christmas" which allowed IZW to finish the year off with a match that could have been a Match of the Year candidate. December 29th, Brad Michaels was scheduled to defend the Impact Division Title against Kenny Campbell. During the show, IZW Commissioner Mike Iles announced it would be a No DQ Match. When the match began, the fans were firmly on the side of Campbell and he didn't disappoint. He was determined to win the title on that night. After several minutes and Michaels down, Campbell went for the pin attempt only to have in broken up by John Zorthos who pulled the referee out of the ring. Michaels regained his senses and tried to use a chair on Campbell. That chair use was thwarted by John O'Malley. Michaels walked into Campbell and a spinebuster on the chair. IZW had a new Impact Division Champion.
Kenny Campbell started 2007 pursuing the IZW Tag Team Titles and ended 2007 as IZW Impact Division Champion. What does 2008 hold for him? Could 2008 be the year of Kenny Campbell?
