Sam Stackhouse, Dimitri Alexandrov, Ray Martinez, and Elijah Sparks are all featured in the documentary “Barroom Heroes”, about the Elote Lucha Wrestling Federation. The documentary premieres at the Circle Cinema in Tulsa on Sunday, July 16th at 5:30pm.
http://Fightful.com is reporting that Rick Steiner “eliminated” any chance that the company will be using him for events anytime soon. In addition, it notes that his son Bron Breakker has not received any heat due to his father’s action. Steiner created an uproar against Impact Wrestling talent Gisele Shaw during WrestleCon, which took place over “WrestleMania 39” weekend festivities. Shaw, a transgender woman who competes within the company’s Knockouts Division, shared what happened via social media. Shaw was walking towards a table to sign autographs when Steiner began yelling comments like, “you’re a dude”, “you’re a man”, “you’re a piece of trash”, “you’re filth”, and get “the f*ck” away from here”. When Shaw looked up at the person saying these things, it was Steiner. Shaw was shocked and couldn’t believe what was happening. Shaw was completely caught off guard about the situation, and said, “Excuse me?” to Steiner. However, he kept repeating the phrases and began yelling at Shaw again. Steiner has since been barred from returning to Wrestlecon. Breakker has commented on the incident, noting his dad’s actions are not a reflection of who he is. The good news is that it doesn’t look like this will affect Breakker’s current momentum with WWE. Rick, along with his brother Scott, were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. He has been known to appear with his son here and there on WWE TV, but it doesn’t look like this will be happening anytime in the near future.
Former “SmackDown” General Manager Teddy Long has made an unusual pitch for Goldberg’s final match. Speaking on Sportskeeda’s “The Wrestling Time Machine” with Bill Apter and Mac Davis, Long stated that he would like to see Goldberg face off against Bret Hart. He said “The person that I’d like to put him with is the person that really helped him along the way, but I don’t know whether Bret wants to get back in the ring,” Long said. “For him and Bret Hart to have that final thing, I think that would be it because Bret is the guy. He could hang with Bret. Bret would make him look like a million dollars”.
Reportedly, Carlito will be making his way back to WWE on a full-time basis very soon.
Jim Cornette hasn’t held back on Excalibur, accusing the AEW announcer of only getting his job because of his friends. The masked play-by-play commentator has been behind the AEW announce desk since the promotion’s debut with “Double or Nothing” back in 2019 and has been the voice of “Dynamite” almost every week since then. However, Cornette isn’t a fan of the star, something that came to the forefront as he reviewed “Forbidden Door”. Speaking on his “Drive Thru” podcast, Cornette questioned Excalibur’s credentials for leading the “Forbidden Door” commentary when the company has now hired NJPW’s English language announcer Kevin Kelly as the voice of “Collision”. “He had to do all of the ‘Forbidden Door’ PPVs they had done up until now because of course he’s the lead announcer. Even though in the past Jim Ross has done New Japan announcing and even though he is a f**king Japanese mark and even though his friends gave him this job even though he had never done a television show in his life before he debuted on TBS. But now they have legitimately hired NJPW’s American announcer currently, he’s been doing it for the past 3,4,5 years, Kevin Kelly.” Going a step further, the legendary manager says the man in the mask should have handed his role over to Kelly for the broadcast while claiming he was “a mark who got lucky.” “Yet when they do a co-promotion between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, Kevin is there alright but he’s sitting in the B-chair, next to sock face who’s never worked a f*cking day for NJPW in his life, because he still doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to say ‘You know what, you know what you’re doing here and I’m a mark who got lucky so since you’re here Kevin you can do the show.'” During the same episode, Cornette blasted AEW for not protecting NJPW’s ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and went against popular opinion by accusing Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay of looking “phony” in their acclaimed IWGP United States Championship match.

Gail Kim and Gisele Shaw came in last on the first leg of the race on the season premiere of “The Amazing Race Canada” and was the first team to be eliminated from the competition.

Oklafan extends condolences to Shane Cortez on the passing of his niece on July 4th.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Jim Farish, who passed away July 2nd at the age of 59. At the time of this post, no cause of death was available. Jim, who was an U. S. Army veteran and did basic training at Fort Sill, served as a referee in a few Oklahoma federations, most recently BPW and NCWO. He also worked for UWO. Additionally, he had provided referee services in some companies in Arkansas. Jim loved classic television, Elvis, and motorcycle riding amongst many other things. Many wrestlers in the area have expressed their regrets when informed of his passing and it is expected that the number of tribute posts for him will increase. Additionally, Majestic Championship Wrestling plans to do a 10-Bell Salute to him at their event Friday. Even though he had never worked for them, he had been in contact with owner Oscar Amazing about coming in.
