AEW's Fuego Del Sol suffered multiple foot fractures in indie match

AEW wrestler Fuego Del Sol revealed on Instagram Wednesday that he fractured his foot in five places during a recent indie match.
Del Sol said that doctors originally thought he had suffered a single minor fracture in the February 19th three-way for California's SPW, but a CT scan revealed the multiple fractures.
He said the big question now is whether he suffered ligament damage which will be answered following a visit with a foot specialist within the next week. The main ligament around his Lisfranc bone is "a little displaced" but not completely separated which is giving him optimism.
"If it can heal on its own, the recovery is 6-8 weeks because all my bones are in the right spots and the fractures just need time to heal, BUT if I need surgery it could be 3 months," he said.
Del Sol said he will be focusing on social media and Twitch to help keep him busy and his mind off the situation.
He made his debut for AEW in May 2020 and eventually became a contracted wrestler, learning the news on the August 2021 debut of AEW Rampage following a loss to Miro.
