EC3 has signed with the NWA. During NWA's "Nuff Said" pre-show, May Valentine did an interview with EC3 where he announced that he had signed with the company, and would be bringing Control Your Narrative with him. EC3 said in the interview that he would help people across the industry recover their passion.
Lance Archer noted on Twitter that it's been 51 days since he last laced up his boots and that this was not by choice. When he finished the New Japan tag team tournament in December, he pushed hard that he wanted to wrestle and that AEW or New Japan should let him be the monster he can be.
On the "Cheap Heat" podcast, Jake "The Snake" Roberts had this to say about wrestlers in AEW: “They don’t listen to me at all. Their idea is like: I got a fat f***ing contract and we’ll ride this. I get it. Ten years from now, half those guys, you won’t even remember their names. I say 85% of them, you won’t even remember their names because they’re flash in the pans and they don’t have any character.”

Cody Rhodes was on with Ariel Helwani on Monday and talked about leaving AEW, only saying that Bruce Prichard called him and set up Vince McMahon flying in to meet him and that McMahon offered him Seth Rollins at "WrestleMania". He was asked about the CM Punk press conference and said he was very disappointed watching it and very sad because even though he was gone, he didn't want anything to hurt the company he helped build and said he thought it hurt the company. But, he said he wouldn't take sides between The Young Bucks and Punk and was going to be Switzerland. He talked a lot about his father as well.
WWE has been teasing the return of The Hurt Business for the past month on "Monday Night RAW". While the group had its momentum halted by strange booking in 2021-22 (mostly because of decisions made regarding Bobby Lashley's booking), MVP has been hard at work trying the reform the group since early January. He has since convinced Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to start working as a tag team again — and even managed them this past week's "RAW" — Lashley's status has consistently remained unclear. MVP and Omos (who is still working as MVP's client) recently helped Lashley earn another shot at the WWE United States Championship, only for Brock Lesnar to appear and cost him the title bout against Austin Theory and reignite the feud they've had for over a year. Lashley then appeared in business attire on this week's "RAW" and seemed to be back in a heel role as Brock Lesnar tried to challenge him to a match at "Elimination Chamber". But there was no reference to The Hurt Business throughout Lashley's promo. MVP recently spoke with Josh Martinez of "Superstar Crossover" and repeatedly mentioned The Hurt Business, going so far as to pitch them in matches against The Bloodline and Judgment Day. "Vince McMahon makes decisions and that's way above my pay grade. The decision that he made. Why did he choose to do it? I have no idea. It was his choice, he's the boss, well at the time, he was the boss and that's just how things go. We were all scratching our heads but at the end of the day, I'm doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby's being a little stubborn, but I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me and I'm trying to get Bobby to come around. We'll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business," MVP said, along with his association with Omos, fans online have also pitched Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits to join the revived faction.
A&E starts its new WWE season this week. From 8-10pm Eastern will be a biography documentary on Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall forming the New World Order, as the feud episode at 10pm will be about the Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant match with Booker T, Natalya, D-Von Dudley, and John Layfield talking about it. There will be WWE programming on the station from 1pm Eastern until midnight, as they will also air at 1pm the Steve Austin vs. The Rock feud rivals episode, plus Austin from 2-4pm, Lex Luger from 4-6pm, and Bill Goldberg from 6-8pm.
WWE and 2K have released the full list of the roster which will be part of the WWE 2K23 video game. The roster includes a total of 183 playable characters, divided in 46 women, nine of whom are WWE Legends, 132 men, 46 of whom are WWE Legends, and 5 from bonus packs. Sasha Banks and Naomi are not part of the game and Jake "The Snake" Roberts is the only one from AEW to make the list. WWE 2K23 is developed by Visual Concepts and will be released on March 14, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Among the matches uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel this week was Chavo Guerrero, Jr. vs. Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight title from "No Way Out 2004".
On Shudder’s “Joe Bob’s Vicious Vegas Valentine” horror marathon tonight host Darcy The Mail Girl (AKA: Diana Prince, Kasey Poteet) revealed that she once gave a lap dance to a famous wrestler. Since he left her an autographed photo afterwards she didn’t think he would mind being named live on the air. The wrestler she named was "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.
Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre is suing Pat McAfee. He is claiming that McAfee made “defamatory allegations” when he suggested that he was part of the Mississippi welfare scandal which has also ensnared Ted Dibiase and his family.

Oklafan extends condolences to Jeff Jarrett on the passing of his father Jerry on February 14th. Jerry Jarrett was a professional wrestler as well, and after retiring from active competition, was a successful wrestling promoter. He was co-owner of Continental Wrestling Association in Tennessee starting in 1977. In 1989, he and Jerry Lawler bought World Class Championship Wrestling from Kerry & Kevin Von Erich, merging CWA and WCCW to form the United States Wrestling Association. Lawler bought him out in 1995. In 2002, he and Jeff formed NWA Total Non-Stop Action, which in later years became TNA, then Impact Wrestling. Jerry sold his shares of the company to Dixie Carter just a few months after NWA-TNA started. Jerry also appeared in two episodes of "Tales from the Territories" on Vice TV in 2022.
Appearing on "Busted Open Radio", AEW President Tony Khan said that Jeff Jarrett wanted to go ahead with the match on Wednesday night's "Dynamite" despite his father Jerry passing away on Tuesday. Labeling Jeff's decision as "brave and courageous," Khan said that Jeff wanted to push forward with the original plan of teaming with Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, and Sanjay Dutt against The Acclaimed, Billy Gunn, and Orange Cassidy in an eight-man tag team match. Jerry Jarrett passed away at 80 years old Tuesday following a bout with esophageal cancer.
James Storm posted the following after the death of Jerry Jarrett: “Sad news hearing the passing of Jerry Jarrett. This man helped me out so much in my career. From training at his farm for the USWA wrestling school to last year him saying he’s proud of me for sticking it out. #RipJerry”
