NEWS
WWE has pulled Karrion Kross and Scarlett from the upcoming WrestleCade convention at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were pulled from the popular convention back in October, and now Kross and Scarlett have been pulled. The convention is scheduled for November 25 – 27, which is the same weekend as WWE Survivor Series. “Unfortunately, due to their commitments with WWE, Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux will not be appearing during WrestleCade Weekend 2022. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you purchased a ticket to meet them, your refund has already been processed. Thank you for your support,” the WrestleCade statement on Kross and Scarlett said. Kross and Scarlett are not currently booked for a match at Survivor Series, and the same goes for Gargano
There was an altercation at the show in Peoria, IL last week during the Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross match. Scarlett interfered and a female fan threw a drink. Scarlett said it was cheap alcohol but others at ringside said it was water. The woman and the man with her were both kicked out of the building.
Mick Foley and Kurt Angle were filming an episode of "WWE's Most Wanted Treasures" on Monday.
Matches added to WWE's YouTube channel this past week includes A. J. Styles vs. Roman Reigns from "WWE Extreme Rules 2016".
Speaking on his "Monday Mailbag" courtesy of AdFreeShows, Mike Chioda spoke about a wide range of topics. During it, he looked back on Goldberg vs. The Undertaker at "WWE Super Showdown". It was a rough match that all started when Goldberg knocked himself silly after headbutting the locker room door. “The last one, pretty much, I did was Undertaker and Goldberg in Saudi Arabia. Thank God we got through it. So, that match was, you know, because [Goldberg] had gassed himself. He did [the head injury] first. He did it first, but he struggled and it got worse as the match went on. So, and I was just communicating with Taker right then at that point. So Taker was totally in control at that point and he was taking care of him. He was taking care of Goldberg good … That was something that could’ve really, really gone f*cking wrong.”
In a tweet on November 16th, Jake Roberts announced that he is off oxygen for good, and he’s returning to AEW. He stated that he’s doing great and standing tall. In May, Roberts denied reports that he was in poor health. At the time, Jim Ross had recently noted that Jake “The Snake” was still dealing with breathing issues, though he was taking steps to address the issues. Roberts has battled COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and emphysema in recent years, and he previously stated that he was seeing a specialist. He had noted that he only needed to use an oxygen tank when he flew on airplanes, but now he says he’s tank-free for good. Roberts has worked as Lance Archer’s manager since March 2020, but he has been forced to miss some time here and there.
Sammy Guevara announced the UFC show last Saturday show and went to Dubai with his wife Tay Melo.
The legendary Jim Cornette doesn’t see AEW star Darby Allin lasting very long in the WWE system. During a recent discussion on the "Jim Cornette Experience" podcast, Cornette talked about Allin possibly going to WWE some day. This led to talk on if Allin would be booked and presented in a similar fashion to how Rey Mysterio was booked in the past. “This is one case I wish we weren’t doing radio and actually had video,” Cornette said. “You look at a publicity picture of Rey Mysterio physically, body wise, from his days in, say the late 90’s in WCW and early 2000s In WWF. And then you look at Darby Allin’s physique today. Rey was shorter than Darby and jacked to the gills. Darby is a little taller than Rey and has to run around in a garden hose to get wet. He’s so thin, plus what I was gonna say was even more, is probably even more of a stumbling block in the WWE.” Cornette continued and commented on how Allin is currently presented in AEW, and how he doesn’t see Allin making it “15 fucking minutes” in WWE. “Obviously, I don’t know whether Darby Allin’s getting any direction, being given any direction,” Cornette said. “But if he is he won’t take any obviously and if he’s not, he might very well bow up under it because the first thing they would tell him is no more of these goddamn goofy stunts you do unless it’s something that we booked and that we’re shooting for video and to promote you with, and no more of these goddamn just goofy off the cuff things where you just fling yourself every which way in these matches because we’re going to make an investment in you. “We need you to hold up your end of the bargain and protect your body and take more calculated risks. And that’s not what Darby Allin is all about. I don’t think he’d make it 15 fucking minutes in the WWE. I don’t think they would particularly like it, I don’t think he’d like it.”
A judge in Payne County, OK found the sexual battery case against former Oklahoma State University wrestler A. J. Ferrari has probable cause, meaning he will go to trial court arraignment. Ferrari is set to appear in court for arraignment on December 6th. "The court finds that there is probable cause to believe that a crime was committed and that the defendant committed the crime," Judge Thomas said. "The court binds the defendant over for trial court arraignment on December 6, 2022 at 1:30 p.m." Ferrari will appear in court with his attorney, Derek Chance. And the State will be represented by attorney Erica Garuccio, who will bring in witnesses to testify against Ferrari. Ferrari was one of the first signees to WWE's NIL Program.
