AEW and Joe Hand Promotions announced last week that tonight's "All Out" pay-per-view will be shown at select theaters in North America and Latin America. The theaters in Oklahoma that are showing the event are AMC Southroads 20 and Cinemark Theater in Tulsa, Regal Warren in Moore, and Regal Warren in Broken Arrow. For a list of all theaters showing the event, click here. "All Out" emanates from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.

John Morrison talked about some scrapped plans for his character before his WWE release while speaking to Steve Fall for NBC Sports Boston’s The Ten Count. Morrison was among the wrestlers released by WWE last November. He stated the following: “First of all, I wrote, ‘I’m gonna moisten someone up with my drip stick,’ you know, in a promo as it’s kind of a joke. So Vince reads that and goes like, ‘Drip stick? We’re gonna make a fortune on these drip sticks.’ He loves it. I wanted to have my entrance and then stand on the turnbuckle and everyone shoot me with the drip sticks. It was going in that direction until people realized the arena then would be soaking wet and the water would be everywhere. And then [Vince] decided we can’t sell drip sticks. It was so close, but I think that would have put it over the top.”
This week’s episode of "The Bump", featured A. J. Styles and Hit Row (Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla) and can be viewed by clicking here.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Bill Ash, who passed away from a reported heart attack on August 29th. He was 76 years old. Ash, whose full name was William Noel Ash, was trained by Al Galento and Mario Galento and primarily worked in the southern territories. While his debut date is not known, he is documented as having matches as early as 1972 in Florida. By 1973, he had his first of 4 runs in TSW, losing to Pez Whatley on September 17, 1973 in Tulsa. He would stay with TSW until the end of January 1974. He left to compete in the Mid-Atlantic territory, then returned to TSW in March 1975. He would depart again by November 1975 for Memphis but came back again in January 1977 for approximately 7 months, then left to compete in California. He would make his final run in TSW beginning in November 1979 and would remain until May 1980 before returning to California. He would compete for Bill Watts in Mid-South, but has no matches in Oklahoma listed. Ash then made his first venture into South East Championship Wrestling and would spend the bulk of the 1980s there, dominating the Junior Heavyweight Division and winning the NWA United States Junior Heavyweight Title 5 times. He is documented as appearing on a WCCW event on November 2, 1985 in Muskogee, defeating Tommy Montana. His next Oklahoma appearance came when he brought his own wrestling company, International Pro Wrestling, to Broken Arrow on July 7, 1990 where he defeated Jerry Stephens. Seven years later, Ash faced Treach Phillips, Jr. on the last PZWA event on February 1, 1997 in Anadarko. No result for that match is known. His last in-ring appearance in Oklahoma came on July 5, 1997 when he and Doc Buffwell lost to OPW Oklahoma Tag Team Champions Generation X (Zane Morris & Ian St. James) in Tulsa. Ash would continue to promote wrestling for his own company, which later became known as Mid-South Pro Wrestling. He would tape 3 events in Tulsa between July and September 2010 and those would be the last pro wrestling events in Oklahoma he would be associated with. Besides being a strong utility player as a wrestler, Ash was also a highly renowned pro wrestling bootmaker for a long time. His father had been a shoemaker for most of his life and Ash got frustrated at how boxing boots did not feel comfortable in wrestling rings, so he created the air cellular material to allow for thicker soles on wrestling boots and sold them through the B Bar A Boot Co. company, though it was reported by Bill's daughter that the boot company was sold sometime in the late 1990s. In total, Ash competed on 27 documented Oklahoma wrestling cards between 1973 and 1997.
Greg Oliver of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story about Bill Ash's passing, which you can read by clicking here.
