Huckabee adds Ric Flair to fold

As the man himself might say, "Whoooooooo!"
Actually, he does in an announcement today that champion pro wrestler Ric Flair -- he of the flowing blond tresses and trademark high-pitched yell -- is endorsing Mike Huckabee for president.
"It's a tremendous honor to offer my support to such an outstanding leader as Mike Huckabee," Flair said in a statement issued by the former Arkansas governor's campaign. "His authentic conservative qualifications and level of executive leadership experience are unmatched by his opponents."
"And like I always say, to be the man, you've got to beat the man and Mike Huckabee is the man. Whoooooooo!"
Huckabee said he's a huge fan and his children grew up watching Flair. "Ric's endorsement will help us put a figure-four leglock on our opponents," he said.
Huckabee is winning the popular culture celebrity endorsement primary among Republicans. Flair, known as "Nature Boy," joins movie tough-guy Chuck Norris in the stable of Huckabee supporters. Huckabee's campaign said a TV ad featuring Norris is among the most-watched videos on YouTube.
Flair will make his endorsement official by appearing with Huckabee at a tailgate party before the Clemson-South Carolina football game in Columbia, S.C. on Saturday.
If Huckabee could only get a big NASCAR star to join him as well, he could boast a near-holy trinity for a Southern politician: pigskin, racin', and wrasslin'.
