Farat Brings The Heat At July NCWO Event

Farat Brings The Heat At July NCWO Event

Posted: Jul 20th 2022 By: CMBurnham

Fire. It burns. It cleanses. It destroys. And it has been a factor in professional wrestling for a long time. Many wrestlers, from The Sheik to Skandar Akbar to Jerry Lawler have mastered the art of throwing fire. It's a surprising and devastating weapon that is nearly impossible to counter and can end careers in a flash.

NCWO's most recent event was titled "The Heat Is On" and sadly no one present probably had any idea how prescient of a title that was. When the event began, NCWO owner Richard Bedford came out to address the crowd. He thanked them for showing up and apologised that there were some changes to the advertised card, mostly due to licensing issues with the Oklahoma Athletic Commission. Before he could get the event underway, MajCW Heavyweight & 24/7 On Call Champion Al Farat arrived on the scene. Farat, who was accompanied by one of his harem wives, Zahara, berated Bedford, complaining about the lack of a match for himself as well as the inefficiency of the airline Bedford had booked his nephew, NCWO Champion Akbar Farat, on, leading to the loss of Akbar's luggage. This verbal sparring went back and forth as Bedford spoke up for the United States as well as for Zahara, whom Al Farat repeatedly has abused and shown little to no respect for. When that confrontation was over, Farat left, but promised that he had something up his sleeve for later, a big surprise that even Bedford would never be expecting.

While Akbar was not booked for a match (though he did manage to goad NCWO & ASP Tag Team Champion Luke Richmond into one), Al Farat was, as he took on the mysterious PHoX. This booking only seemed to exacerbate the irritation that Farat already felt as PHoX was not looked at as top quality competition by Farat. But apparently PHoX proved enough of a match that Farat had to resort to using his signature spike to the throat as the referee was distracted by Akbar. This got Farat the win, but was only the beginning of the events to come.

Not satisfied with gaining the victory, The Farats began to double team PHoX until Bedford made an appearance again. And Bedford had clearly had enough. He wanted to get his hands on Farat and made an impromptu challenge to face Farat right there in a 1-on-1 match. With a referee in the ring, the bell was rung and the match began. But Bedford didn't get much of a chance to deal with Farat as Zahara proved indispensable to her man. Zahara made her way up on the ring apron and Bedford turned his attention to her, telling her that she needed to get down for her own safety. This gave Farat the distraction he needed to prepare a fireball that he threw in Bedford's face when he turned back around. The NCWO owner went down as the smell of burnt hair and flesh emanated from the ring and the locker room poured out to tend to their fallen leader.

And just to add a little bit of an exclamation point, Akbar Farat, who had earlier had a verbal altercation with Mike Andrews as he was doing commentary for this event, made his way over to the announce team's table and dragged Andrews over the top of the table, unceremoniously dumping him on the floor and leaving him for the referees to help to the back.

The Farats were not seen again for the remainder of the event, but their presence had clearly been felt. Bedford was rushed to a nearby medical facility and at the time of this writing, the extent of his injuries is still unknown. Mike Andrews was shaken up and unable to return to commentary for the remainder of the event, but has seemingly suffered no long-lasting effects.

Most importantly, the Farat Dynasty has sent a clear message. They have no problems with extreme measures. They are willing to sacrifice anyone and anything they have to to get their way. Al Farat is a 35-year veteran of this sport who knows exactly how to inspire fear and terror in people. And the actions he carried out last week make it very clear that a war between himself, his dynasty and NCWO owner Richard Bedford is unavoidable. Can the company survive the oncoming storm of violence?
