Sammy Guevara Joins Jericho Appreciation Society On AEW Dynamite

The dastardly Sammy Guevara reunited with his mentor Chris Jericho -- costing Ortiz his hair in the process.
The Jericho Appreciation Society has expanded its ranks by one, and the new member is someone the group's leader knows very well ... Sammy Guevara.
It all went down at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri for a special Road Rager edition of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, June 15. In the opening match, JAS leader Chris Jericho went one-on-one with Ortiz in a hair vs. hair match. The two men were evenly matched for most of the bot, with Jericho becoming increasingly frustrated by the resilience of his former protégé ... but the Demo God had a trick up his sleeve, as usual.
The match came to an end following some serious shenanigans. Jericho Appreciation Society member Angelo Parker threatened to interfere, which caused Eddie Kingston to run down and take care of the JAS. Santana and Wheeler YUTA entered the chaos, which ultimately caused a distraction that allowed Fuego Del Sol to run in the ring and lay Ortiz out with Floyd the baseball bat. Jericho then covered Ortiz for the 1-2-3.
After the bell, Jericho embraced Fuego Del Sol, who removed his mask to reveal that he was actually Sammy Guevara all along (well not ALL along, but ... you get the idea).
Ortiz was then expected to get his head shaved by a barber, but he refused and took a pair of scissors to his own locks before running a pair of clippers over his head. Ortiz then got on the mic and yelled "BLOOD AND GUTS!"
Later in the evening, Jericho officially announced that Sammy Guevara and his girlfriend Tay Conti were the newest members of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
As you'll recall, Guevara was also a member of Jericho's previous stable, The Inner Circle, as was Jake Hager, who is also in the Jericho Appreciation Society.
