South Siders Dispose of Jersey Boys Once Again

For the better part of 6 months, the feud between the New Age Syndicate and current MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions The South Side Soul Assassins has consumed all 4 men. They focused on each other almost to the exclusion of trying to win the Mid-South Tag Team titles. But with Tyson Jaymes & 3rd Rail gaining those belts 2 weeks ago, the Syndicate now sees a new opportunity staring them in the face. And this past Sunday, they attempted to capitalise on that chance.
Several shows ago, MSWA commissioner Halo had issued a moratorium on matches between the South Siders and the Sanders twins. But as the show began this week, Scott Sanders and Shawn Sanders made their way to the ring and said they deserved a title shot. They declared they had defeated Jaymes & Rail before and would do so again. Commissioner Halo arrived and said that he had to break a promise. He either had to once again allow the Syndicate & the South Siders to face each other or he had to deliver a show that didn't give the fans what they wanted. He knew which was the worse decision and the main event was changed to grant the Sanders' a chance to win the gold.
These 2 teams were certainly no stranger to each other and both brought all the mind games they could muster. Rail seemed rather hungry, at one point calling for hot sauce to cover Scott Sanders' arm while he knawed on it. And the Syndicate's manager, Shawn Matthews III, revealed that his knee may not be nearly as injured as he'd like everyone to believe, as he got into the ring while the referee was distracted a couple of times and moved around quite nimbly, only to leave and once again hobble on the crutches at ringside.
As most of their matches have ended, this one also came up as a loss for the Syndicate. Oklafan caught 3rd Rail backstage in a lucid moment and he said, "We've beaten them, we've hurt them, we've humiliated them....and they still keep coming back for more. What do we have to do?"
Rail brings up an interesting point. At this time, The Syndicate present essentially the only challenge for those tag team belts. Just a few months ago, The Bold & The Beautiful were involved in some confrontations with the South Side Soul Assassins, but Tommy Revell is now having his issues with IZW Champion Michael Barry and his former valet Marianne Albright while Brian Grimm hasn't been seen for a few weeks. Bad Boy & MSWA Oklahoma Champion Outlaw won't be asking for a return match any time soon as they are now at each others' throats. So who will step up to make a bid for the Mid-South Tag Team titles? There have been several members of the UWF06 roster appearing on MSWA shows. Might the Dynasty achieve in MSWA what they can't in UWF06 and become tag team champions? And given the uncertain condition of SWCW, might we see Trailer Park Trash make their way back to MSWA? Or could there be a couple of wrestlers who have been working together behind the scenes and are now ready to display their teamwork? Whatever the resolution, the team that steps up to make a bid for the belts are going to have to bring size, power and speed with them to counter the 700 pound champions and take those belts away.
