Von Erichs & Court Bauer Accept Challenge For MLW/AEW Interpromotional Fight With FTR
Posted: Apr 16th 2022 By: Dominic Deangelo
We very well could have a “revival” of classic tag team wrestling as the Von Erichs want to face FTR and Court Bauer is all for the idea. It was Dax Harwood who coyly voiced the proposition on social after it was revealed to the ROH Tag Champ that he and Cash Wheeler are on a streak of defeating brother tag teams. “Isn’t there a pair of Von Erich’s running around or something?” Harwood Tweeted on April 11
Marshall Von Erich caught wind of the Tweet and responded: “Challenge accepted! My brother and I have never run from a fight and we want to face the best in the world.” MLW CEO Court Bauer saw Marshall’s response and approved of the challenge and issued upcoming MLW events as potential battlegrounds for the two duos.
“Love it,” Court Tweeted. “MLW will host it. We just so happen to have a Dallas show on the horizon in VE Country. We could also go with the neutral ground of Philly May 13.”
FTR has been on a dominant winning streak as they successfully defend their ROH & AAA Tag Team Titles with Dax & Cash defeating The Briscoes and The Young Bucks in succession. Marshall and Ross were also in Dallas over the first weekend of April as they competed in tag team action that lit up the Von Erich country crowd with anticipation. MLW will have Kings Of Colleseum in Philadelphia that already advertises Sandman & Taya Valkyrie appearing.
