EFFY Vs. Jeff Jarrett, Plus More Matches And Talent Announced For The Wrld On GCW

Game Changer Wrestling has been busy today announcing more talent and matches for their Hammerstein Ballroom debut on Sunday, January 23.

Of the match announcements that came out today, one was expected, and that was the grudge match between Effy and Jeff Jarrett.

This match has been building since Jarrett made his shocking debut at GCW Die 4 This on New Year’s Day 2022, hitting Effy with his trademark guitar. Effy declared in Detroit at Most Notorious that he would not fight Jarrett, but after Jarrett attacked Effy’s parner in Bussy, Allie Katch at Say You Will the next night in Chicago, the match was on.

The second one does not have the kind of emotional impact that Effy vs. Jeff Jarrett will have, but could have far more wide-ranging ramifications for all of GCW. It’s the Grab The Brass Ring Ladder Match.

We don’t have word on how many participants will be involved, but the winner receives any match they want any time they want. GCW will be announcing the participants in the match later tonight, and we’ll have an update here on Bodyslam when they do.

Finally, as announced during the broadcast of Say You Will on Sunday night, The Briscoe Brothers have issued an open challenge to “any team in the world” to show up at Hammerstein and challenge them for the GCW Tag Team Championships.
