Not a good night for the New Dynasty
Posted: Feb 13th 2006 By: oklastaff
Over the past 3 months, the new Dynasty have had their share of good and bad luck in SRPW. Sonny C and Karl Davis were suspended indefinetely by commissioner Ray Martinez on Nov. 4, 2005. SRPW X Division Champion Mitch Carter broke away from the others and has once again gained the favour of the fans. Sole remaining original member Jack Legacy was forced to take some drastic action, so he called on his cousins, Beau & Bobby Dalton to join him in reforming the faction. They added SRPW Women?s champion Lily McKenzie to their ranks in Mounds, OK on December 2nd, when she turned on Terry Montana and Bobby Burns in an SRPW Tag Team Title match. And Sonny C was reintroduced to the fold in Ponca City at their 3rd anniversary show.
But just as things looked to be going well, disaster struck when SRPW returned to Sapulpa last Friday. The Daltons were forced to put up their SRPW Tag Team Titles by Ray Martinez against the newly formed team of Smashed Pork, Tommy Smash & Pork Chop. This duo had only teamed once before and lost to Montana & Burns. But Martinez was tired of seeing the Daltons duck challengers. And despite being new and inexperienced, Smashed Pork left Sapulpa the new SRPW Tag Team Champions.
Later that night, Sonny C took on Dexter Hardaway in a technical masterpiece. But while Lily McKenzie & Leather were busy fighting outside, Jack tried to assist Sonny by using a pair of brass knucks on Dexter. The knucks hit Sonny instead and Dexter won the match.
The only bright spot in the night for the New Dynasty was that Jack was able to retain his SRPW Boys & Girls Club Title by defeating Cpl. James Warbois.
The Daltons have already issued a challenge for a rematch for the SRPW Tag Team Titles under Texas Death Match rules. They attacked Smashed Pork right after intermission in an attempt to deliver this message. Bobby Burns has promised to give Smashed Pork some pointers on how to compete in this type of match, thus gaining a measure of revenge for all the times the Daltons avoided him.
