Kyle Hawk posted on Facebook last week that he was robbed at gunpoint in Las Vegas near Fremont Street. He said the robbers took his wallet, which contained his ID, his credit and debit card, and his social security card. He also said they took his phone and his fanny pack which had all the money he had made on recent merchandise sales. In the video he was visibly shook up but did not say he was injured.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of The Snowman, who passed away from a heart attack on September 29th. He was 75 years old. Snowman, whose real name was Eddie Crawford, was trained by Jerry Lawler and Koko B. Ware. Early in his career he competed as both Dr. Detroit and The Snowman and also worked under a mask as Killer. Beginning his career in Florida and Memphis, he would move to MSW in 1985, brought in by Bill Watts who was desperately trying to find an African-American star to replace Junkyard Dog. He won a tournament for the MSW Television Title on May 8, 1985 and would hold the title for about 2 months before losing it (controversially by Countout) to Dutch Mantell on July 10, 1985. During his time in MSW, he faced many top level heels such as Mantell, Eddie Gilbert, Len Denton, and Tom Prichard. He even had Muhammad Ali in his corner in a match against Jake Roberts. But he never connected with the MSW crowd the way JYD did and after a 4 month stint in MSW, he went back to Memphis. In 1990, after having been away from wrestling for some time, he beat Jerry Lawler for the USWA World Title and was part of an angle where he claimed that the promotion was racist. After winning the title, he feuded with Lawler, Brian Lee, and The Bruise Brothers (Ron Harris & Don Harris). But he was unhappy with his pay in the company and left the company while still champion, allegedly pawning the title belt. Crawford would then leave professional wrestling and served as a police officer. The Snowman has 4 confirmed Oklahoma appearances, all in 1985 and all in Tulsa. The earliest was May 26th where he successfully defended the MSW Television Title against The Brute. On June 9th he defeated Pat Rose, on June 30th he defeated Eddie Gilbert, and on July 14th he defeated Jake Roberts.
