Why Chavo Guerrero Was Written Off AEW Television
Posted: Sep 17th 2021 By: Oscar Rodriguez - Bodyslam.net
When Chavo Guerrero showed up on AEW aligning himself with Andrade El Idolo, many fans expected this relationship to flourish. on last week’s episode of Rampage, everything came crashing down for Guerrero after Andrade’s match with Pac, Andrade took exception to Chavo interfering in the match and beat down the veteran seemingly firing him and sending him on his way.
It is now being revealed why Chavo had to be written of tv. It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Chavo’s gig on Young Rock caused him to take off from AEW. He is the pro wrestling stunt coordinator on the show and the NBC series is about to start shooting its second season.
The reason for the angle on Rampage where Chavo Guerrero was turned on by Andrade and then beaten down by Penta & Fenix which looked like a character blow-off is that Chavo works as the wrestling coordinator for the TV show “Young Rock” and they are filming the second season of the show now. In an interesting note, the showrunner for “Young Rock” is the sister of Nick Khan.
Before making his appearance with AEW, Chavo has made his rounds on the Hollywood circuit coordinating stunts for other shows aside from his Young Rock gig including Glow. It was noted that Chavo will return to AEW once filming for the show is complete. We will have to wait and see how AEW brings him back in.
