Will Trevor Murdoch Be Forced To Retire?
The National Wrestling Alliance have big plans for their 73rd Anniversary Show on Sunday, August 29.
The NWA will be returning to the historic Chase Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri for the event and it has been revealed the show will be headlined by a Career vs. Title Match.
The match came together over the weekend at TMart Promotions' The Gathering II, during which Trevor Murdoch challenged Nick Aldis for the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship. Murdoch ultimately failed to capture the 10 pounds of gold and the former WWE Superstar challenged Aldis to a Career vs. Title Match in a post-match promo.
If Murdoch loses, it will bring his professional wrestling career to an end after 22 years. The Outlaw is most famous for his three-year run in WWE from 2005 to 2008, during which he became a three-time tag team champion with Lance Cade. Murdoch would then have a brief run in TNA in 2009 before he competed on the independent scene.
Murdoch joined the NWA in 2019 and he has since had one reign as NWA National Champion.
