20 Years Ago This Week!

Posted: May 13th 2021 By: Mick Foley

Yes, it was 20 years ago this week when “FOLEY IS GOOD” was released, and reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list and its very first week of publication. Thank you to everyone who purchased a copy and made it a success!

A little known fact about this book is that it was actually almost completely written when I even let Judith Reagan at Reagan Books know I wanted to publish another book. So wasn’t like I had some kind a big contract and an obligation to fulfill. I wrote 3/4 of the book in about two months, and then spent another six months researching the last quarter of the book – which was my answer to the claims made against WWE by the PTC (Parents Television Council). My book, and all the notebooks I had done my research in ended up being part of the legal process of WWE’s lawsuit against the PTC, and I am proud to say that I played a role In WWE securing a very handsome settlement!

I must have been over with the McMahon‘s at that point, because on my birthday in 2001, I came home from Knoebels grove to find a recording of both Linda and Vince McMahon singing happy birthday to me on my answering machine.

Make sure to tune in to my biography on A&E on May 30. I understand both WWE and A&E are extremely happy with it, and from the 30 minutes that I saw, I am extremely happy too. I wish I was not going head to head with the a AEW PPV, but no use complaining about it now. Besides, there is a replay on at midnight following the PPV.

The annual #SuperSockoSale is set to take place June 1 - June 7 through #ProWrestlingTees

Have a nice day!
