Bill: Hello J. D. and welcome.
J. D.: Hey Bill, good to be here.
Bill: First off congratulations on GPCW and tell us a little bit about your promotion.
J. D: Well thank you but it is not my promotion. It is Martin Justice's promotion. He approached me and asked if I could help get things started and of course my answer being sure.
Bill: I understand you're running little towns in Oklahoma. Will you be running any shows there in Lawton?
J. D.: I really don't forsee any shows in Lawton, due to the fact Johnny Z of IZW is running Lawton and I don't want to start a turf war with Johnny Z. I've made a promise to Johnny Z I wouldn't do shows here and I'm a man of my word Bill.
Bill: Do you think Johnny Z will do the same for you?
J. D.: Well I'd hope so. I really think he will.
Bill:What are your view points on turf wars as you call it ?
J. D.: I don't want to go to any part of Oklahoma or Texas that another promoter is trying to run, I call it stepping on toes. When you start doing that then there aint nothing but problems.
Bill: J. D., you wrestled for a number of years and have helped train a few other wrestlers. Who trained you and who have you helped train?
J. D.: I was trained by The great legend Tom Jones. He taught me the ins and outs of the wrestling world and also the psychology part. As for other wrestlers...well, some in ACW, some in IZW, some in Texhoma wrestling. They know who they are. No need to brag on it.
Bill: You and your brother Ben wrestled as the Texas Playboys. Any titles won by you and your brother?
J. D.: Yeah we were the PZWA tag champions along with the Texhoma tag champions. I was the Texhoma heavyweight champion, my brother was the PZWA heavyweight champion. Yeah, a few titles.
Bill: What do you see in the future for GPCW?
J. D.: I think GPCW will take off like wild fire. I really do. I have a lot of help from Tom Jones, Al Farat and a host of other big name wrestlers.
Bill: Well J. D., good luck with GPCW. I hope the best for you and Martin. Any last words for up and coming wrestlers?
J. D.: Yeah, listen to the older wrestlers. They have been around. Give them the respect that they deserve. After all, they paved the way for people like you and I. and also respect the business
