2 Down, 1 To Go! Justin Mows Through ICF To Get to Morbid
Posted: Oct 17th 2007 By: CMBurnham
Since losing the ComPro Oklahoma X Division Title to Shane Morbid 1 month ago, FCW Tag Team Champion Justin Lee has been determined to get his title rematch. And ICF has thrown up hurdle after hurdle for him to jump, all of which Justin has done. He now simply waits for an annoucement from the ComPro Championship Committee granting him the opportunity to take his belt back.
The week after the X Division Title change, Justin came out follwing Shane's match against Pork Chop and confronted him in the ring. He said that even though there had been interference from Boss Campbell and Cold Blooded Chris, he wasn't going to complain about that. He then shook Shane's hand and asked for his rematch. Morbid said that would be no problem and the fans all believed that the next week, they would see another Oklahoma X Division Title match.
But Shane has never been a man of his word and this was no exception. When it came time for Justin and Shane to face off in the ring, Shane ducked out and said that when Justin lost the belt, he went to the bottom of the list and had to work his way back up, starting with Shane's manager, Boss Campbell. Justin defeated Campbell pretty easily and again demanded that Shane give him a title shot.
Shane presented his version of these events on October 6. He said that Justin was "begging for the bell" that week because "Boss Campbell was dominating him". He did admit that Justin beat Campbell, but just barely. He then announced that since Justin wanted a title shot, he would grant him a title shot. This got the attention of Justin, who stormed to the ring, but again, Shane had a swerve in mind and announced that the title shot would be for the ICF World Bodyslam Title, a belt held by C. B. C. and not recognised by ComPro. Justin was unable to pick up the 400 pounder, but did deliver a Superkick to C. B. C. & Morbid, taking both the Bodyslam Title belt AND the Oklahoma X Division Title belt and leaving the ring. This infuriated Shane, who demanded that ComPro commissioner Kitty order him to return his "property". Morbid was so irate that he actually challenged Kitty to a match!
But the next week, cooler heads prevailed. Boss Campbell returned, sporting an arm sling and neck brace, indicating he'd been severely injured during his match with Justin. This time, as per Kitty's orders, Justin would be facing Cold Blooded Chris in a regular wrestling match. The match was hard fought, but after another well placed Superkick, Justin came out victorious. But just as the referee's hand was coming down for the 3-count, Shane Morbid entered the ring, followed by Boss Campbell. They didn't get to Justin in time to prevent the pin, but there was a brief triple team on The Broken Arrow Bad Boy until Justin took out all parties involved with superkicks, then mounted the top rope and delivered a moonsault to the entirety of ICF, laying prone in the ring, one next to the other. Justin then returned the belts he had taken the previous weeks, dumping them onto their respective prone bodies and left.
Having officially defeated both Boss Campbell and Cold Blooded Chris, there doesn't seem to be anyone else left for Justin to have to go through to earn his title shot. But knowing Shane Morbid, he certainly has one last trick up his sleeve for this coming Saturday. No announcement has been made yet, but it seems logical that ComPro would announce the rematch for the 2nd Night of Champions on October 27.
