In 1998 at the famed NAWA Academy ran by Texas Legend, the late Killer Tim Brooks John Scarbrough began his journey, he would tour the state known as “Beast of Burden” and “Beast” from 1999 and 2000, a colorful playful character but something was missing.

In Summer 2000 Beast started to become the man at Texas Championship Wrestling in Plano, Texas, main eventing with Chris Chronic, SWHOF 2014 Inductee Gary Tool and others, He held the TCW Texas Championship, in Summer of 2000 behind the camera, He acquired the promotion and made a play to shake up the “Territory”.

He was a harbinger in the rebranding and transformation of TCW into the national known XCW when it took place in Denton, Tx in 2002. John himself also transformed himself with a new identity and look, The Professional John Allen was born, his career ran from 1998-2009 and then a comeback in 2015-Present day.

John challenged for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 2016 against Jax Dane. John held the NWA Texas brass knuckles Championship, PCW Tv Championship, TCW Tag, TCW Heavyweight, XCW Heavyweight Championship, NAWA Heavyweight Championship and many other Championships during his career.

John wasn’t just a talent, but his running TCW, changing it for the better, giving talent and fans an alternative in the DFW territory should be commended.

John Scarbrough FKA as The Professional John Allen will be honored in 2021 into the Southern Wrestling Hall of Fame!
