Matt Sydal Reveals His Aspirations For The AEW TNT Title

The TNT Title has been hotly contested since its inception in All Elite Wrestling. Cody Rhodes defended the title weekly against up and coming stars in the company and some of independent wrestling’s top stars. It wound up even helping Eddie Kingston get an AEW contract after his hard fought match.
Current TNT Champion Darby Allin is already charting his own course with the title, having a brutal defense against Brian Cage recently, but other people are already looking at the title as the way Cody Rhodes hoped it would be, the title for the company’s workhorses. Matt Sydal talked about his own ambitions for the title on AEW Unrestricted, where he already feels it’s a major reason he’s currently in the company.
“This TNT Championship is bringing out the best in a lot of guys. I think it brought out the best in Darby Allin, and I think this is where I need to narrow my focus. That championship has a lot of meaning and prestige to it, and it is absolutely one of the main reasons I’m in AEW right now.”
He might have to wait for a bit as Darby Allin is heading for a showdown with Team Taz at Revolution alongside Sting in a street fight. However, Allin has seemingly refused to back down from any challenge so it’s possible these two will cross paths sooner rather than later in a match that will no doubt steal the show.
