Butch Reed Passes Away Due To Heart Complications

Bruce Reed, better known as wrestling legend Butch Reed has passed away at age 66.
His official Instagram account has confirmed he passed away due to heart complications. Reed recently suffered two heart attacks within the last month.
"To everyone who reached out god bless you. Today we lost a great man. Due to heart complications Bruce ‘Butch’ Reed passed away. Butch is in heaven now with the wrestling god’s. I am sure he is already booked for a Heavyweight Championship match. Once again thank you for all the prayers. We will keep this page going in his memory. Reed is best known for his time as one-half of Doom in alongside WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons. He signed with Jim Crockett Promotions in 1989 after two-years in WWE under the name ‘The Natural’ Butch Reed.
Following his departure from WCW, Reed continued to work the independent scene. He retired from active competition in 2011.
During his storied wrestling career he won a multitude of championships, including the WCW World Tag Team Championship, Mid-South Tag Team Championship and GWF North American Heavyweight Championship.
Funeral details have yet to be released to the public. We send our condolences to his friends and family.
