Wrestling World Reacts To WWE Releasing Gerald Brisco

WWE Hall Of Famer Gerald Brisco took to Twitter today to reveal that, shockingly, WWE had parted ways with the wrestling icon after 36 years together. Brisco had worked a number of roles for WWE after his in ring career ended and was one of Vince McMahon’s most trusted confidants.

"Ok, want to get this out the right way. Last night I received a call from @wwe Chairman Of The board @VinceMcMahon to let me know after 36 years of dedication to @wwe i an no longer needed. I’m ok withthis. I will still be around to help talent. More info will follow. Thanks"

Fans around the world were understandably shocked and upset to hear of Brisco’s departure, with him being a part of the WWE furniture at this stage. For every bit as devastated as wrestling fans were though, Brisco’s co workers and wrestling family were even more upset as they took to Twitter to thank him for his service and friendship over the past three decades.
