Karrion Kross Likely To Be On The Shelf For A Long Time

Karrion Kross relinquished his NXT Championship during this week’s episode of NXT. He suffered a shoulder injury during NXT TakeOver: XXX.
Kross stated early how his injury would not take him out for long, but he did have to relinquish the title.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Kross’ injury. He noted that his injury is more severe than what was initially expected. It is likely he will undergo surgery, for which he will be on the shelf for a considerable amount of time.
“He had his MRI on Monday, so it sounds like he’s going to need surgery. It sounds like he’s going to be out for a while. If it was something that didn’t need surgery they would’t strip him of the title because they love him as champion, he’s their chosen one. If it was like two months they could work around it. They didn’t provide any time frame, but it doesn’t sound good.”
We hope he will be making his return sooner rather than later.
