Goldberg says WWE deal runs through 2023, two matches per year

In a late-July podcast appearance that suddenly made the rounds Tuesday, former WWE Universal and WCW World Champion Bill Goldberg revealed that he is signed with WWE through 2023 on a two match per year deal.
During his Pop Culture Show appearance with one of his long-time friends, he said that he already exhausted his match limit for 2020 but that his "WWE commitment is still going strong. At 53, I never would have imagined (this) especially after making fun of (Ric) Flair when he was doing it in his early 40s."
Goldberg returned to WWE in 2017, making three appearances that resulted in a WWE Universal title win over Kevin Owens and title loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. After skipping 2018, he returned in 2019 with a widely panned match against Undertaker in Saudi Arabia and a quick win over Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. He then returned at February's Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia to defeat The Fiend for the Universal title before losing it to Braun Strowman at April's WrestleMania.
He said he has some "extremely interesting projects on the cusp" but everything is on hold due to the pandemic. One project is an NCIS spinoff with a Hollywood star, but he declined to reveal who it was.
