Barbi Hayden Helping After Witnessing A Tragedy

Former NWA Women’s Champion Barbi Hayden has set up a Go Fund Me to help her neighbor going through a horrific situation.

Hayden says in the GFM description that she woke up to discover the police and other emergency personnel were downstairs at her Nevada apartment complex. She went to check on her neighbors who were a single mother and son. She saw the son laying dead of an apparent suicide.

I was in contact with Hayden earlier this evening for more details and to see how she was doing. She lived up to her polite and professional reputation, telling me that she remains retired from pro wrestling. She is still part of the cast of the Atomic Saloon Show at The Venetian in Paradise, Nevada and plans to stay in that career for the foreseeable future. She hopes to raise a goal of $10,000 for her neighbor so the woman can bury her son.

Hayden won the NWA Women’s Title from Kacee Carlisle in 2014. She worked for WOW last decade under the name Abilene Maverick. Last year she announced that she was leaving pro wrestling to be part of the Vegas area show.
