Bonecrusher Bobby Burns returns to wrestling

Posted: Nov 11th 2004 By: Mike Iles

The New Texas Outlaws always seem to get the last laugh on Steel Rage Pro Wrestling officials.

On October 15th, following his match with Brad Briggs, Bernard Funk of the New Texas Outlaws announced his partner would return on November 5th. Funk's NTO team mate Renegade, and his manager Flamon Raymon was under suspension until November 19th due to a stipulation in a match against The Prophet that resulted in a loss on August 20th. Prior to the November 5th show, SRPW ring announcer Mike Iles, SRPW photographer S. K. Fulton, and SRPW Director of Public Relations Eric Roberts, along with security searched the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club building and Renegade was not on the premises.

The second match of the event was a Triple Threat Tag Team Match pitting Cade Sydal & Chris Gazaway vs. Se7en & Aaron Neil, vs. Bobby Dalton & Ichiban. Just after the opening bell, Bernard Funk came out of the locker room along with SRPW Women's Champion Leather. He asked for the microphone and said he partner was in the building. After reassurance from Mike Iles that Renegade was not in the building, Funk announced his partner, BONECRUSHER BOBBY BURNS! Bobby Burns is a 2-time former OPW Tag Team Champion with Dirty Dan Wilder. He is also one of the original Texas Outlaws. Burns had retired from the ring over 5 years ago, but he said he was coming out of retirement to help out his Outlaw brother Bernard Funk and continue New Texas Outlaws' reign of terror throughout Oklahoma wrestling rings.

With the addition of Burns and the impending return of Renegade and Flamon Raymon, only time will tell if their plan will come to fruition.
